if your a clean person having a couple of dogs in the house is not hard to manage at all especially with short coated dogs like our bulldogs and if they are house trained no problem at all for me. She has her own bed as well I enjoy my space and she can be outside in the backyard for longer periods on nice days but other then that I enjoy having her in the house with me I don't think I would have more then 4 dogs in the house though unless I had a mansion :dogdrink: why would you dislike an obedient house trained dog? my girl even comes on most of my car rides as well :dogtongue: she lives like royalty if you ask me but don't think she's less of a bulldog because of that she puts in her work on a daily basis ;)

my pup at just 9 months is better house trained and better mannerd than my moms 6 year old and 2 year old dog. He is absolutely AWESOME in car rides. This damn dog gives me no problems at all, doesnt whine, doesnt cry in his cage, doesnt make noise in the house, hes great. I recently started keeping him outdoors and to my surprise hes doing great. Doesnt whine at night or during the day. Has his space to move around when he feels like it. Hes adapting very well. But i agree with being a clean person and the dogs not being a problem.

that's good viegas I have to admit my girl whines when she becomes away from me for to long  but I don't give into her at all. When I go out of town or on vacation she has no choice but to remain outside during the entire day and she'll stay in the garage at night. That's good to see he has adapted very well but yeah as much as I can possibly leave her outside all day I still prefer for her to live indoors with me but I do enjoy my space from her from time to time she's to attached to me :p

very true it's good to know how much she loves me :p:rolleyes: but then again just as in any relationship space and air is needed for a healthy vital one ;) I really don't feel bad when I decide to leave her outside for a few hours or the entire afternoon because she is far from being a neglected dog she just needs to learn how to deal with space between us especially when I need her to be if I am going to be away for a certain amount of time. As far as her being a house dog she scores an A+ for sure.

oh geez haha we all bring germs into our homes by walking in and out and touching this and that and bringing in this and that and even if you take off your shoes germs are always present you can't really rely on germs to be nearly half gone 24/7, managing it yes you can be much cleaner in that aspect but I highly doubt someone can have a 100% germ free home has nothing to do with me or anyone else who would like their dog in the house to be called dirty or gross now. I mop once a week and vacuum once a day. It's fine you hate it that's your call but your sounding like anyone else who owns a dog in their home is dirtier then you are which is where I have to call you out buddy because I am FAR from being a dirty individual or a smelly one and that includes my dog she does not make my house smell and as far as the dirty aspect goes that is why I first said if YOUR a clean person then your not going to have a problem because you clean your not going to allow hair/odor to just build up and your not going to allow your dog(s) to always come in with filth ;)

i also have to add, dogs like the apbt shed very little and if they do its just short little hairs. Its not like having a German shepherd inside the house. My aunt owns a lab and shepherd, and you walk in and you can literally see hairs flying everywhere. Its pretty bad. I never like to sit on the couches or anything. But with short hair dogs its much more manageable.

that brings me to another thought, my dog does not go on any furniture or beds, strictly on the floor only, aside from her bed so that's even less of a mess I have to clean up from all that HAIR and true veigas as I stated before apbts are short coated they are not heavy shedders to become a problem in your house.

AAaaaaaAAAAAAArrrrrRRRRgggggggGGGGGGGhhhhhhhHHH!!!!!!!!!! im surrounded by dog hair, germs and funk! there are 4 dogs soaking up the ac in the living room at my house right this very second!!!! omg!!! sooooo gross! ;)

hell, my dogs have always been ~house~ dogs. my house doesnt smell and isnt a dog hair magnet-even if it was, as long as im ok with it-why should it matter? my dogs live better than most peoples children, because they are worth it to me.

(they are even allowed out on the furniture....even allowed to sleep in the bed )

yeup my poor infested house a dog lives in it how could I how horrid! oh well maybe I will be the first to die from hair suffocation and germ infestation :D

I enjoy for my dog to have boundaries in the house that's why no furniture or beds for her aside from her own bed but she is treated like loyalty and that's how it should be because she's my best friend :dogkiss:

Will you stop? First of all, no one says you have to have house dogs if you don't like them. That however is no reason to try spread the germophoebic bullshit around. When fed a proper diet, exercised and groomed properly these dogs do not stink up your house or leave hair all over the place. Make rules for where dogs are allowed. No bedrooms, no laundry rooms. I don't have carpets or cloth covered furnishings. Wood and leather is easy to clean and does not trap hair should a dog pass by. Every rug in the house is washable. Dog beds are washable and the sponge pads they lay on upstairs are covered with pleather-easy to wipe. As for germs and odors from dog paws,.. simple, don't let your dogs shit and piss all over the place. That's the beauty of having dogs, you can even train a chain dog to use a specific spot, and as long as you keep it clean and are consistent, the dogs will cooperate. As for bringing in shit from the streets, we don't walk the streets that often.
People are nasty and lazy about cleaning up after their dogs. Fortunately, I've got space for only my dogs and the wild critters to run in and treadmills. When we do take a walk though the neigborhood, feet get wiped when we come in. I have young children, so I am also concerned about germs on my floors. It is all in how you do a thing. You set up practical doable systems and stick to them. If you're not willing to live without the carpets, clean up after your dogs properly inside and outdoors, and take the time to feed them in a way that keeps them smelling right, keep them outside,...but don't assume that everyone who has dogs indoors has a stinking germ filled house.

  17. We have four in the house, we crate and rotate and they take turns sleeping in bed. They are quiet and clean, the only problems we have is that two are storm phobic and they will hurt themselves breaking out of thier cages when it storms. And it has caused some fighting and bloodshed in the past when they both manage to get out before we can run home.

I like the dogs outside, more freedom for them to piss shit run and bark when they want. But i do have a house dog who barks at the wind.

i'v always had one dog in the house very rarely lock the doors never get nothing stolen the only problem i'v ever really had with a house dog is they might tear-something up once-in-awhile but i sleep good at night and i get a lot of satisfaction when i come home and my little buddy is there to greet me he's always happy to see-me and he doesn't give me any grief just love and thats a good thing

All my dogs live outside but get a chance to come in as a privilege,, I rotate so theres a new dog that gets their bonding and privilege time every night, The first thing they get is matchstick and a walk (hate dog shit in the house) in the second is a bath! I wont let a dog in without both, If their gonna stay in all night they get kenneled (Yeah I got kennels in my living room) Usually I let a dog in all day and all night. They know it's a privilege and the one's that act up get put right back on the chain, after a while they catch on and seem to know what day it is, Car rides does wonders for their mind! Learning ,seeing, smelling, new experiences. Dogs that get to come in the house and go for rides, got a little something extra in them for sure. I've seen it both ways and know a dog will do for you more than one that never gets to feel special every now and then!
