No Love for Colby Dogs Anymore??

JMO I think the qestion here is can the Colby blood still win in the [ ] as someone already stated that most buy the Colby blood for pets or just for the sake of owning a peace of history..I see no way of prooving either side of the argument..But in my opinion I think the blood still could win today ,,and no I dont or never have had Colby blood so its JMO ..main reason I dont is Lou lives a good damn distance from Alabama so i never had the chance to own one...Would I feed one ..hell yeah I would!But i still have great respect for the Colby family and thier dogs..But yea I think it could still win.

Southerners have nothing good at all to say about Colby dogs ever, except those who know. So many stubborn/ignorant people that just think their dogs are great and all others are curs. Colby dogs have been relevant working game dogs for over a century, and what you think it just stopped????

UTK I personally don't know you nor you I and this is not pointed at just you,as for as I know you are the best person in the world we just have different opions,but you seem to have your mind set that there is no good pure game Colby breed dogs and that is your right to believe as you choose as this is suppose to be a free country.You ask for a proven Colby dog of today well let me ask this of you show me a pure breed Colby dog that is not game.Whats that you can't.Thats right you can't and the main reason is that if you did that you would be sitting your ass up for trouble and the same goes for the ones that have seen these dogs,they are not saying cause they don't want to be getting their self into trouble.Let me explane something I don't know what kind of dog men you have been around durning your lifetime,but the ones that I have been around are the type that was not worried about the fame and glory that came from bragging on their dogs all the time.I have seen dogs as good or better as any dog such as Jeep,Homer,Redboy and on and on and you never even heard of these dogs because these men didn't want their name or their dogs names known to everyone.Now I realize you probably think this dude is just stupid.Well you have the right to think that but do this for me get one of the old timers on here and ask them if what I saying is not the truth.You see these people who owned these dogs as jeep and red boy and remember I am using these dog as examples as their was many more,my opion is that these people were just glorified peddlers as they would sale or breed any female to their dogs as long as someone had the money.Now I not saying they were bad people,really they were business men and they made money.On the other hand a real dog man did not want his dogs or blood getting out,he did not want to look across the pitt at his own dogs and get his but handed to him.I don't know if you understand what I saying here or not but what it boils down to is their are good Colby dogs out their in real dog mens hands,these men are not stupid and it would be just stupid to come on an open forum like this one and make a statement to get their self in trouble,understand what I'm saying.I don't understand why someone would even ask a question like that on a open forum,well I know one reason they would but we will not go there.JMO:dogtongue:

colby dogs, whay the bad rep?

I seen a lot of people lately talking bad about the COLBY line of dogs and my self am a proud oner of a colby pup thats 9 months old,and i can say she is a very smart and long winded bitch , why such a bad rap for this line?

Why dose everybody hate on Colby blood,what would it cross the best with? Or dose it even need to be crossed to be what people think is a game dog?

I love my Colby dogs. I have a pure Colby & a 50% female. (Sire was pure Colby) I also have some Colby crossed with Turtle Buster. I have had other bloodlines & Colby is the best line. :dogkiss: Much Much love for the Colby line.

imo, Lou's pup's of $800.00 ea are not such a "pretty penny". and yeah, the line is not known to be barn stormers, never has been, but rather 'come around' at the 2-3 year mark.
