No Love for Colby Dogs Anymore??

I am a new member willing to be schooled on the colbey bloodline and all others and feel like those who know about the line should teach those who dont and keep the colbey name alive.

 

Now I'm not big on colors etc, but it seems to me that the best Colby dogs are brindle. For some reason, the brindle colby dogs perform the best, just like the black dogs out of Earl Tudor's yard or the black dogs out of Hammonds blood.

 

I don't care what anyone thinks...Colby dogs will always have a place on my yard.

Peddlers, some jackoff entered it so they could sell pups and of course marco never does shit about it. I don't even touch peds online no more cause no one knows who runs it, I block myself from my acct so I couldn't get on it.

I don't care what anyone feeds but old man colby isn't testing dogs so to say these dogs are definitely game is plain kennel blindness. Same as saying the Ruffian dogs are game too because they are the purest forms of tudor's black jack (which they are, research if you don't believe me). I am not knocking colby as a man or anything of the sort, his family did his time in these dogs but you all are said they are great is crazy. I bet if you talk to old man colby about his horses and the program they have established with them, they are not breeding untested horses that never raced! Dogs are second to the Colbys, horses have always been the bread and butter to them. Don't mistake it, because people talk shit on peddlers and sorry to break it to you but Colby was the original dog peddler. Not that he sold untested stock when things were legal but he advertised dogs in the paper as if everyone should hop on the fighting dog band wagon in the old days and buy up his dogs. He advertised in a general newspaper no different than AKC peddler does today. No disrespect but a spade is a spade no matter how you describe it. There were many men that whooped the Colby dogs in their day but they weren't famous dogmen just the same as today, the non famous ones are the ones that have some of the best stock alive. Colby was the first person to sell the game out for benefit for himself, I don't know if I would have done different myself but that is how I see it. Would I feed one yes, would I spend the money on the hound straight from him, never in a million years. If you can say anything about the line, it is consistently bred in an amazing way for so many years without the flaws of lines that are bred just as tight. Their ability to breed dogs is unreal but much of that stems from their horses and understanding breeding patterns.

 

lol!!...this was a heated topic right here!!....I got called everything in the book cause I said I wouldn't feed a Colby dog!!...this the thing that trips me out!...now u can go bacc and read this thread from beginning to end and listen to all the cats on here talkin shit to me and not one of them own a Colby dog!!..if Colby dogs was so great why not have one on Ur yard, why not feed him??...lol....these cats talked alot of shit but don't have one!!!...now it was some that did have Colby dogs but not alot!...now I kno Colby has alot to do with the dogs we have to day but I wouldn't have one in today's sport!!...whydidiregister, u better than me cause I will not feed one!...now my partner said he would feed one but has yet to even attempt to look at a Colby dog!!...lmao!!...just all talk!!...I kno a couple of good dogmen, I wonder why they dont have Colby on there yard???...

 

The only reason I would feed one is to stay I did own one but far as spending money never but I would to feed a dog from basically the oldest lines of game dogs. I am sure there is a good one in there but you can get the same out of staffs too should we feed one of those? % are just way to high in other bloods available today, no offense to them just being truthful. I won't hate on you crushbones.

ya know,i own a Colby dog [straight from lou Colby} and crushbone i ant mad at you for your opinion your entitled to it.my dog is now 28mo. and i must say I could not be more happy with him he is an all around bulldog with tons of drive and never ending wind.he has been in about 8-10 scraps mostly all bigger dogs and has wiped just about all of them.just a note none of which were on purpose [at least not on my part...}now granted he is the first Colby dog that i have owned. Ive owned a pretty tight eli dog in the past and a bunch of scatter bred and none papered dogs also,which by no means makes me an expert but i know a good dog when i see it.i refuse to believe my dog to be a fluke in an other wise dead/watered down bloodline.

I'm not saying Ur dog is a fluke are nothing like that!..he probably is a good dog!...I'm just saying I believe colby dogs % are not getting it done!!...a Colby dog Is nowhere on the ROM list (I don't think) as far as producing that alone should let u kno that other strains are producing hounds better than Colby!!...I'm not downing Colby dogs as a whole just % wise!...IMO u would be a seating duck in the fastlane with a Colby dog...now that's just my opinion...are there any Colby dogs out there that will get the job done??...hell yeah but not that many!!...I believe somebody on here said they knew of a grch Colby dog....wats the odds on that!!...not saying it not true, just saying the odds are very low for u to go far with them...jmo

I own an unpapered "Colby" dog. I cant tell you if he's really a Colby dog but I can tell you he's a bulldog. He fits the discription.

 

Everybody say that!!..lol...not talk about Ur dog or anything like that I'm just say!!..I've been on this form a minute and I have not seen anybody but 1 person say wat they were feeding was a cur!!..even I have bragged on my dogs!!..lol...only thing I can brag on is he looking and acting like a bulldog!!..I have young prospect but I will not truly be able to tell if he is a true bulldog because of laws....but let's just say everybody on here break the law (this is fiction) now every post I be own or see everybody says they have bulldogs now we kno that's can't be fact because if they get put in the box then there will be losers, quitters, curs...so I can't just go off somebody tell me they have a bulldog!!...99% of ppl in this site have bulldogs!!...u measure a dog on wat he can do in a box!!...u ever heard that saying (he wasn't match material)?....doesn't mean he's not a bulldog!!...colby dogs are not match material as a whole!!...if we was to do a test and put up the best 10 Eli dogs and put up the best 10 Colby dogs I guarantee u the Eli dogs would win by a large margin!...repeat the same steps with other lines like jeep, rb, boyles, bolio, etc....and I bet they will win by a large margin!!...and yes it is the person behind the dogs but that will get u only so far!...(not talking about u or Ur dog Sampson just giving an example)

 

Spliff, I have a half sister to this dog. Good dog, not going to say that she's this or that...she's just a pup.

 

Another thing to!!...all dogs didn't come from Colby!...there where other lines getting the job done!....Colby dogs as whole had a bigger impact on the breed than other lines did bacc in the day!!...(I meant all pitbulls didn't come from Colby)
