The APBT is the ultimate game dog . if it wasnt all these other breed would be used in the[] as much if not more than them. and yes these other breeds have been used but only by dickheads who havent a clue. you say you want to learn and then when people are nice about it you think you know all. when they are mean you tell them where to go.

Gringo has probly had more than anyone else on this site, experience with the dogo as a working line, and if i remember correct he is even close friends with the family who practically invented them as a breed. He has told you over three times they are not to be kept as a pet, or out of a working pack unless you want trouble.

the reason that anyone has persisted this far is because we dont care about the owner [you] not once you dont care about any opinions because you could probly teach us all how to look after our dogs.

YES by larger dogs, i understand that and its not fair i get it. pitbull own in the pit! again i appreciate what adive youve given me, and i plan on helping the breed not hurting it, trust me on that. i would just really like to get a female dogo, will it happen? im not completely sure yet, i have to see how i feel about the way this little guy i have right now is turning out to be. He is not from a byb as i personally know the people who sold the dog, theyre dog are very well taken care of and have excellent tempermants.

I had a foster that was Dogo x APBT x American Bulldog. He was a cutie but dumb as a box of rocks! lol



He was an owner surrender so I knew him as a pup and wound up with him because he got pano and his owner was just incapable of dealing with him on any level, let alone with a health issue. He was adopted before full maturity. Would have been nice to see how he turned out drive wise. He went to a pet home so I'm sure if he winds up with any amount of drive, he'll be coming back to me. lol

My dogo male raped my female eli bred APBT when I was away getting trained for a deployment.
Not a good breeding and I wouldn't recommend it unless you hunt and cull hard.

 

You know fellas, sometimes we will grab a mutt and take him for a walk on the strand by the beach. Every once in a while someone will head straight for us with his Rotty or some kind of obese molloser thinking they are real macho.
On those ocasions I find it best to grab my lil' mutt into my arms and ask that person to please control his dog as mine does not like other dog and I wouldn't want their big ol' killer to hurt mine...
I think this is one of those ocasions.

 

I'm new & not even gonna pretend I know it all but i will say I think it would be a lovely mix. Plenty of people have Dogo's as pets so it can be done.
Another thing. On this site I understand everyon'e gonna love APBT's & game dogs(so do I & 99% of people on here) but do you have 2 hate all other dogs or refere to them as mutts etc?

Seems the thread starters goal was to make a hypothetical bigger APBT without losing much in the way of speed & agility. Dogo isn't a bad choice in the opinion of a novice. Thread starter is defending the Dogo in the same way most of u would defend Pits. Probably because he's an Argie. He also seems young. Just my 2 cents.

 

i dont hate other dogs..im a dog lover...just i prefer pbt.....what i do hate is muppets who think they can better the breed or create a better mix by doing a bit of backyard breeding....or those that come off with bullshit posts about such things.....this is a pitbull site for discussing pitbulls....its not a mongrel site for discussing mongrels.there may be a few purists on here towards the pitbull.....but they have knowledge and willing to give it out to those who actually show some common sense about the breed.not deserved to those who want to do some half assed experiment!!....this thread is dead and burried imo......a few silly idiots asking idiotic questions deserve to get a lashing if they cant take in the advice/opinions given...
