Kill all strays

kill the dog for something it cant help...sound like the cunts who want to kill all pitbulls for no reason......i love the breed but not just the breed or dogs im an animal lover first and foremost...

I wouldnt suggest going hunting for strays, but if one comes on your property u could smoke em for all i care. people get dusted for tresspassing all the time, dogs are no exception if you have something to protect. Weather it be livestock, your own dogs, maybe your neatly manicured grass, idk lol

You miss the point I was trying to make I don't want to kill strays for something they can't help .I want them dead because I don't want to deal with them and I'm not alone in this opinion.Just look at the BSL directed at certain breeds of dogs.What do you think will happen if this continues on the way it is with more and more strays on the street? Maybe if dog's other than those viscous pitbulls and rottweilers are put down people will get there heads out of here ass's and realize that adopting-out a small percentage of stray animals is never going to solve any-thing

 

r we talking stray pitbulls here or stray dogs in general??? i persnally think mongrels and crossbred dogs should all be neutered to limit the number of abandoned dogs out there( working crosses excluded).i know there are full breed dogs abandoned too but i think they stand a better chance of being rehomed, as for culling all strays well thats just plain stupid, how else would we get CHANDI the amazing dancing dog lol

cant say neuter all cross breeds plenty of pits and others that shouldnt be bred...infact more so because the pure breeds bring more money...the dogs cant help being born or ending up strays im sure theyd much rather a family home but people who shouldnt have dogs get em thanks to those breeding and selling dogs with money as the main concern....

Id smoke em pfff take it your not an animal lover? If i had strays in my area id make my yard more secure before shooting an animal....

 

my dog escaped freak accident and goes on your yard and you smoke it lol can tell you now my neighbour would need hide their children and not in a nonse way

if you was talking about a fence it would be more economical to buy a box of shells. I dont kill all animals but I do have a problem with any animal that no one claims and runs from house to house eating and bring shitty pampers to my house. I use to raise GAMECOCKS some stray dogs took and ate $300.00 worth of birds in two weeks from MY yard while I was at work. they made the mistake and came back 2:30 in the mourning and all it took was two shells to change things.

I think if anyone love or like the animal they would like to keep then they should keep that animal locked up at all times. having a animal spayed/neutored will not stop that animal from destroying your property.

Im just an animal lover and that stray may be someones family member whos escaped and missing? Dumped dogs also arent at fault ethier its because far to many people breed and for the wrong reasons the dogs get into the wrong hands and suffer and with pits the breed on the whole suffer.

Not hoping to be a saint but ive found strays before and brought em home...now if i didnt have a younger sister in the house id keep em because im a softie lol but anyway i couldnt just leave em..parents went mad but ive seen one i gave away locally and his owner is a sound bloke and paying for the dog to go live with him out in spain....like i said im an animal lover first and foremost not the type who wont kill a fly lol but i wouldnt shoot a dog because its been unlucky in life...dont know if its just how americans talk but saying youll smoke em sounds again like an ego thing and sticking up ill shoot stray dogs on a forum? Makes no sense to me unless we should be impressd with what a man you are :\

 

To the OP: That sounds good in theory, however I feel it is to broad of a statement. For example lets say you have a crazy neighbor who goes in your backyard when you are not home and lets one of your dogs off the chain and that dog chases a cat and is now loose and considered a stray. Wouldnt you want to be able to get your dog back alive? Possibly a more appropriate statement would be to put down all the dogs currently being housed in shelters that have not been claimed. To kind of clean out shelters and adoption agencies and start fresh. I agree that 70% of dog owners shouldn't even own dogs, but that is touching on personal freedoms. I think their should be a independent type agency that monitors shelters and rescue organizations that being said it should definitely not be HSUS. The people who want dogs to wear sweaters and ride in wagons should just get a kid but then their would be more idiots in this world, its kind of a vicious cycle. Good topic though, maybe we could come up with a answer if we all put our heads together...........

 

First I decide if it's causing a nuissance. Then I check for a collar. If it's just passing through and it has a collar on it's all good. If it's on my property getting into stuff it shouldn't and it had a collar, it might get peppered from a distance that will just sting real bad but not kill it. Depends on how it acts to. If it's actin funny, dirt nap. Rabies is rare but it happens. Or you get coyotes breedin with strays creating wild pack dogs who aren't scared of people and aren't domesticated. I wouldn't shoot the neighbors dog just for passing through, but I do think it's better safe than sorry.

if its a stray iv'e never seen i usually chain it up front whith water for 2 days then call pound if its a niehbor and it tears up my garbage they get one warning if it happens again i go to their house and tear thier garbage up if it is an agressive stray toward me my family our my dogs it looses it life either by me our my dogs, ive alway told my neihbors that if one of my dogs gets loose it will not be friendly to their family pets so if this ever happen shoot them because i will shoot theirs if its hurtin my family or pets a dog will be a dog cant blame them for being loose

This is the problem right here. People use words that apply to HUMAN life. I remember when there was only 1 dog pound not animal shelter, humane society or any of the other names they are given these days. It's too easy for people to breed a litter of any type of dog not be able to sell them and dump them in one of these places. Why because they do not have to worry about the mutts life after they leave them there. Now when there was only the dog pound, the dogs got dropped off and 7 days later they where put down. Strays running loose where shot due to livestock laws and people kept their bulldogs contained and most folks did not even know what a Pit Bulldog was.

So let's recap on my rant. Dogs are dogs and Humans are Humans the two are not equal.
