FL: This abused pit bull only has half a face, but a whole lot of love to give

Meet Khaleesi, she’s not the Mother of Dragons from Game of Thrones but she deserves a crown for the way she’s been treated.

The two-year-old pit bull mix was badly abused and then abandoned.

When she was found in Florida, half of her face was missing, she was dangerously underweight and her back legs didn’t work.

She’s on the road to recovery thanks to the caring folk at Passion 4 Pits, but her front teeth hang out of what’s left of her face like little walrus tusks.

Despite her bad experience, Khaleesi still has a lot of love for humans.

Rescuer Stephanie Paquin says the dog’s tail hasn’t stopped wagging since she was found in Orlando, Florida.

When the animal was discovered she weighed less than 20lbs and she will need surgery to correct her back legs.

She’ll also need dental surgery to work on the exposed root where her jaw is supposed to cover.

Passion 4 Pits, based in St. Petersberg, have started a crowdfunding page to pay for Khaleesi’s medical costs.

The Youcaring page set up in Khalessi’s name has raised over $12,000 – and this week shared the good news that according to vets, Khalessi will one day be able to breathe through her nose again and use all four legs.
