My husband's friend once had their Dachund mate with their German Shepherd. They weren't concerned when she came into heat since they didn't think there was any way they could breed due to the size difference, but he found a way! But in their case it was an accident & produced some of the funniest looking dogs you've seen from what I understand. My husband said one looked a purebred German Shepherd but had the long body & chopped off legs of a Dachund. He said it was a hoot to heard this big dog barking & around the corner comes this extra long "German Shepherd" running toward you on dwarf legs. lol.

 

I've seen one of these dogs at Venice Beach a few years back.

People who do this on purpose must have a screw loose or something , just my opinion.
