Is there any way to judge that one young dog is going to have a better bite than his littermates? What is the earliest age that this trait tends to shine through on a hard biter ? I use these dogs to catch hogs and a hard bite is a big plus for this game. When you are tieing a bad one, you dont want that dog to let go!

No, theres no way to tell. Its not genetics, its will-power that makes a dog bite hard. Raise the dog right, put everything you have into the animal, and hope he returns the favor.
