Ear differences

    I always asked myself why the ears of the bullterrier are pointy while the ears of the apbt arent. I know that the modern bullterrier was crossed in the past with other breeds, but none of them seems to have pointy ears. Neither did the old english bulldog or any of the terrier breeds that got mixed to create the first bullterriers. So how did those ears become pointy? Same question with some great danes, some of them have sloppy ears and others pointy...for some reason i really want to know why that is lol, maybe someone here knows?

    Just found out the bullterrier had influence of the old english white terrier, which had pointy ears. Can we delete this thread? :-/#:-S
