    This is typically a problem if someone is giving "mega doses" of a specific nutrient in the mistaken belief that the massive dose is preventing or treating some ailment.

    Remember, too, that certain minerals, when excessively administered, can cause deficiencies in other minerals. This also can be dangerous to your dog. For example, [/font][font=Arial,Helvetica,Univers,Zurich BT,sans-serif]too much zinc causes a copper or calcium deficiency.[/font][font=Arial,Helvetica,Univers,Zurich BT,sans-serif] Excess calcium can cause phosphorous, zinc, iron, or copper deficiencies.
