From the 1920s are PIT NEWS and PIT AND PAL, which I have never even seen in the original copies.

Then the classic old PIT DOGS Magazine and YOUR FRIEND AND MINE magazine done by Pete Sparks from the 1950s to the 1970s.

There are also some of the PIT DOG REPORT magazines put out by Don Mayfield in the 1970s.

These reprints are done as Year Books, they are scanned from the original issues and professionally printed, so they are very high quality with sharp photos, not like a cheap photo copy.

These books contain a whole year of magazine issues and are bound in soft covers or hard covers --

A great look at the good old days and many of the famous dogs and dogmen of that time. Full of historical photos and info about the old bulldogs and the men behind them.

These are great books to have at a reasonable price. That is less than the cost of one of the original magazine issues if you can find one, and the printing quality is excellent.

I bought several and I am very happy with them. Lots of good reading!

Also the new Stratton book is done by Lulu so it would be another one that would be discounted with the coupon --

Bulldog Edition by Richard Stratton (Hardcover) - Lulu

It's a good book too, I wish I had waited and ordered it at 30% off.

The Coupon info is at the top of my post, it is not in the links, those are where you start your order, then you put in the Coupon for the discount.

I got the Coupon code in an email from the publisher Lulu, here is what they sent me --

"Look for Big Cyber Savings starting this weekend on Lulu! Between Friday (Nov 23) and Tuesday (Nov 27) Lulu will be offering a variety of great discounts . Get 30% off anything on the site with coupon code REDEMPTIO or Save 35% on any order over $750 with coupon code DELIRITAS "

So the Coupon code is REDEMPTIO for the 30% discount, unless you are buying over $750 then it is the other one for a 35% discount.

Sorry it was not clear, I guess I should have put the Coupon info at both the bottom and the top of my post!

I am going to order some of the old magazine reprints since I don't have all of them and I will post if I have any trouble. I have ordered before with a discount coupon and never had a problem. Hard to turn down a $40 book for the $28 discounted price!

LOL, I just spent about the same amount.... It's a great sale and 30% off is a huge savings.

I also used that code and it worked fine. I like those old Your Friend and Mine magazines, I was missing 5 of them so I ordered those and now I have the complete run. At $28 those yearbooks are less than you would pay for a single original old issue.

If anyone has any questions, I will check this thread when I can and try to help.

Hi , only the printed books /printed magazines /and sdj reprints go via lulu , if you want to buy e zines of the sdj , it sends you to paypal were you have to pay the full price .

Yes, that is correct... The 30% off coupon is only for the items published by Lulu.

It is a Lulu coupon sent out by them for their products so no, it does not apply to anything else, just the Lulu published stuff.

It's still a great savings for what it covers.

Are you sure the coupon does not work? I know someone in Europe who used it with no problems at all.

Lulu ships to Europe so it should work. I also bought a 2012 SDJ Yearbook with my coupon and had no trouble with the order.

Today is the last day for the coupon, it expires at midnight.

I am sorry the coupon did not work. I don't know why it didn't, as it should have worked for any buyer.

You might contact Lulu and tell them you tried to order and that you could not use the Black Friday coupon. They might be able to help --

kinda obsolete now but it didn't work for me when I first tried. I just said fuck It, tried the next day and it took typing it in twice but it worked saved 167 off my order. not too bad. sorry it didn't work for you, I say send them an email and ask if they'll honor it. maybe you'll get lucky.
