Watchdog bloodline

Can someone give me some insight on the bloodline before the mixing of other breeds got involved. Also, a reputable breeder. peds

"Reputable breeder" and "watchdog bloodlines" are a contradiction in terms.

Don't waste your time trying to find a breeder that breeds "pre-mutt watchdog" mutts. No reputable breeder would touch those things.

 

let me tell you something about watchdog. That is All I used to have. I culled everyone of those huge massive muts. I wouldn,t have another one if my live depended on it. They are just another blue bloodline Preatty mutch anywhey.

I see the Street Corners and Newspapers filled with these dogs,
they say Gottiline, Grayline, Razor's Edge Etc. These are bred and owned by Puppy peddlers and if they say their not, ask them what they are breeding for. Show? I think not! They are overly stocky by any standard, even AKC. Weightpull? I think not! Too fat, never saw an English bulldog that could pull weight, and most have never even seen a weight pull. Hogdogging? hell no! wouldn't want to scratch up that pretty blue coat. They say that's too much like fighting. lol Most of the times they'll tell you they're breeding for "protection" or manbiters, but these same people will tell you that their dogs are the most people and kid friendly dogs. Basically they'll tell you anything, even call it a "Pit Bull" to sell you this overpriced, unhealthy and unpure Pit Bull/Mastiff. These dogs are made up of a Bandog, that originally came from a dog that was created in the early 70's by a vet named John Swinford. It was 1/2 Pit Bull and 1/2 large. This was a cross that was made to produce huge Pit Bulls and to better the Mastiff's hips. The Neo Mastiff and English Mastiff was included in this mix. The term "Bandog" is derived from the early English and is referred to a ferocious large dog that was bound by a chain until it was released at night in order to guard property. Unfortunately Dr. Swinford died before he was able to get his Bandog registered. This is part of the make up of modern day Blue Pit Bull. Because of the Neo Mastiff in this mix, this produced blue colored dogs, also many of these dogs of such early breedings were Brindle, and then produced Blue. Look at the early Watchdog bloodline for example. Anyways, in modern day these dogs are being passed off to people who cannot afford a Neo Mastiff and want to be able to say that they own a "Pit Bull". To what standard are these dogs bred and what quality are these dogs, they have the worst hips, air, health is that of a English Bulldog. People who own this dogs for the most part are Bully's who believe "bigger is better". These dogs are being Sold to people who should never own a real Gamedog, or any dog for that matter. The average Smith is not responsible enough to own a dog the size of a Horse. But because they are lied into believing that these dogs are non aggressive, they get out of the yard or off the leash in public and attack, even I've been bit. These Dogs are more Human aggressive by far and are contributing to the so called "pitbull" attacks. These people are telling lie's about our Gamedogs to make money, saying our dog's will attack your kid's Etc. It's time to Shut'em down.

And also American Bulldogs are Mastiff/PitBull/EnglishBulldog crosses, mutts!! HaHaHa LMFAO

Just so we all remember. It's all about the papers. If the papers aren't pretty, the dogs useless.

 

Take a look at Cocoa 2xw does she look untested!?!?!LMAO My dogs all have been tested in the []......The stud I bred her to also was tested hard. So for my dogs I vouch!!! My dogs that I vouched for have no blue blood in them. I am an honest dog man and showed you my pedigrees which are 50% Redboy 50% Colby/OFRN/Chinaman etc. "scatterbred". But I do agree most dogs are untested and bred just for pedigree.. And that's not right you will see them outcrossed and advertised performance crossed. All Pit Bulldogs should be bred for Gameness and not pretty pedigrees. Yes, I forgot this is Game-dog.com the Pet bull community!!!LOL

Well When I started getting 90 pound dogs. I felt that I was going the rong whey. The dogs were whey to big for me and my family. The temperment was at the worst and most of all they were not game. I even had one of those dogs try and go after one of my kids. I put a hole in that dogs head imediately.

 

I saw what I thought was a decent example of a Watchdog bred dog at the last AADR show. Black and white, around 50 pounds fat. Obviously doesn't tell you anything about the preformance side of the dog, but I was surprised to see a dog from those lines that looked decent. I'm not familiar with the line, but weren't they bred for color from the beginning? Granted I've heard rumors that they were tested as well, but that color was the purpose behind the breedings?

She is niether blue, nor large. Kinda funny huh? She also has some Chaos in her, and a dog called Ford's "Blue Gator", but she is black brindle, and the brindle is very light, Looks completely black from a distance.

 

Well the new puppy I got, well the one that my buddy dumped on me has WatchDog and Gr. Ch. Budweiser Crusher in his ped, but so far so good, and if he's conditioned right he's not gonna turn into another fat lazy blue.. (he's a fawn/blue) but so far so good, he's a good dog.

 

[Well i been messing with the watchdog line for years...I also mess with frisco some too...Heres the thing this is a game dog board and these dogs wont get much credit here due to the watchdog line happens to have blues in it....Most my dogs range from 40 to 70 pounds not many in the 70 pound range...Most my dogs are black not blue although some are...Thing is watchdog line wasnt crossed with anythign...But the watchdog line isnt box dog bred there hog catch bred....Casey courteier was big into the quick catch and his dogs won frequently over game bred animals....I weight pull and do a lil hog catchin too u can see one of my blue dogs catchin a hog in the gallery...Now i know my dogs wont go 45 minutes off the chain but the do well in weight pull and hog catch and thats what i do....Can u hate on that????? U guys stereo type watchdog cause its got blue traits but its not all bad...But i will agree that alot of people color bred them but if its kept the way it was from caseys yard there some dam nice workin dogs

I own a bitch who's dam has some of the older watchdog stuff in her.. Id say about 25 % .. Blue Bully, ect. She has managed to produce some very good prospects ... some of whom are proving your words otherwise in the show ring and in the hunt ... There are ALWAYS exceptions with these dogs.. and she has EARNED the right to live the rest of her life on my yard with the best of care.
