The product must be in a BOX type creat, someting they can lift with a tow motor and stack on. the last shipment was 123$ in everything to build, took me about 8 hrs to take it to the port In only 2 hrs away but by time I finished clearance it took 4 more hrs. then it cost me 1,140.00$ to ship a box 5ft high 2ft wide and 6ft long. that wt 220 lbs.

I build mills and have hell shipping them for under 300. Its based on the length and weigth. So i started shipping it in two boxes and can keep it around 200 through Fed Ex.

ya'll so right about the shipping and the prices can change over night. they also add a surcharge on at times and that isnt on the price charts ups gives to you to figger the shipping. i've been shipping mine well over 20 years and have learned the hard way Dan

a big ups to all you that ship...i tried it...it was just more time and effort than i am willing to spend...if i did the mills full time or did not have another 50hr a week job it may be worth the hassle...but for me, i make a a few here and there for pick up only...limits the amount i could do...but the shipping is more than i am willing to put up with...US1

the mill doesn't have to be in a box, when I got my mill from the Gambler, he shipped it on 2x4's and shrink wrapped the mill so that it wouldn't get scratched.

it depends on who and where it is going. Over seas it has to be in a creat it dont have to be wood you can use 080 alum. that is only 310$ per sheet of 4x8 if you want. were wood is 3$ a 2x4 and 32$ per sheet of ply so it adds up trust me.

Killer Spinner is free spinning, Dogtrotter is not. It's never that easy to deal with millmakers. If something goes wrong (and there is almost always something going wrong) then the buyer has to pay the price. No matter who did wrong.
Just my experience ( paid for 6 mills, a few more belts + some extras).
I like the KS better than the rest. It's a noisy mill, but the sound is always telling you what's going on. So that's not a bad thing.

hey stickler, what I said was right. I never mentioned shipping internationally. The topic was shipping and LOCAL(American) are talking about the need to use a box, and that just isn't the truth. I have bought 3 mills myself, so I have an idea what I am talking about too.

Great post, some may never get an eye while others earn it thru time and understanding... In some cultures the third eye is understanding and some are born with it...

I have the Jeep mill...the homemade treadmill made out of Volkswagen hubs that Crenshaw used to condition ch. Jeep for his classic match with stevens ch. Homer. .ricky jones got it from Crenshaw and signed the rebel on it ..headhunter got it from ricky and I got it from him...you wouldn't believe how hard it is to turn...lol pretty prehistoric

What I was saying was it don't matter too much about the mill you better be conditioning the right dog to begin with...and its a wooden slat mill with Volkswagen hubs at all 4 corners turning the mill looks just like a regular mill...it's in storage at my shop in florida..but I still have it ask Crenshaw and he will verify that's what he conditioned ch. Jeep on for his match with ch. Homer ...I don't lie and that's why I haven't talked dogs in quite a while because of the people, liars and cheats in this game...let the dogs speak for themselves our yard produced period. ...

Let me reiterate. ..some dogs won't work a mill period, some will work one but half ass so...each dog is different. ..also depends on the dog you are weight pulling into and you might have to condition different depending on that dogs particular style...a combination of things like swimming, flirt pole ,hand walking combined with the mill works well....we had a dog directly off of mt. Man's ch. Homer and codys Lucy (a pure carver dog) down from Bruce Turlingtons stock..that would not do anything but hand walk...he'd walk a while then freeze up and stop then I'd have to baby talk him to get back up and start walking again a pure pain in the ass to condition but you have to put the dog first well he won his weight pull over a grandson of gr.ch. yellow in a little under an hour...his name was codys mac ...he won on gameness alone...when bred to GR.CH. shady lady it produced ch. Truck a 4x winner he died not long after his last win...I had chance to keep him but instead kept shady bill and we sold truck to abraham...of Abrahams gr.ch.queen of hearts fame....
