6sN7s what i said is ment for everybody that belives a freee running mill that sprins 7 ore 10 times is beter for your dog then a one that spins 2 ore 3 times. the spinning is irelenvand in sutch a way that its the resistannce that wil detirmin if a dog gets a good workout ore not ore build up durable strenght condition/stamina.

let me ecsplain. a formule 1 car revs 18000 rpm has 800 hp and dilivers 150/180 lbs feet of torque. top speed 200mph.
the car and engine combo runn fast due to 1 its very light, 2 therfor hase no resistance, 3 the engine is capeble of 18000 rpm.
now take a ordinary american pontiac gto(2004/6) its twice the weight hase 450 hp and the engine spins 5500 rpm!!. but it has 400lbs feet of torque.
    put the two cars
in a tug of war position with there back ends faceing another . and belive me that ordinary street GTO wil bitch slap that Formule 1 car all over the place!!!!!. THATS BECAUSE THE gto HASE MORE torque AKA PULLING POWER ORE PUSHING POWER. THE HIGHER rpm DETIRMENS the end speed the toque dilivers the acseleration and the power..

meaning that a 10 times free spinning mill will give your dog NO pushing power!!.... due to the lack of resistance a dog needs to build up strenght stamina.

This is actually the opposite way lemm did it. When the dog breaks he would go back in and sit with him and when the dog recovered he'd leave and let it jump back on top.

i like mills alot, but walking, biking etc with your dogs, gives you more bond with your dogs,
and is aswell a good work out for yourself :) working together with your dogs make them more happy then,
you putting them on a mill and sitting next to it on a lazy chair with a coke or beer looool

i come back every five to seven minutes but always stay within listening range. sometimes i switch up the resistance, sometimes i entice my dog. when my dog breaks stride i leave. i think it works better to encourage your dog during his highest effort.

Ordered 2 DT's a few months ago, they both came with 30 days and G was very easy to deal with. I get 3-4 spins on my DT with a simple push...which is plenty and all I need. Other than that...its smooth and rolls effortlessly when the dog is on it.

The one bad thing I would say is that the dogtrotter needs to much maintenance. If you are using it everyday like I do the you have to lube the mill every 3 to 4 days or you will only get 1 to 1.5 revolutions. Oiled up I get 3 to 4 easy.

ok....so im debating on if i would rather just bite the bullet, invest n get the killer spinner or if spending the 750 on the basic slat will get the job done.

the way i see it is the only difference in the two is one uses steel rollers as opposed to the basic model using rollerblade wheels. sure the killer spinner prolly get 7 more turns then the basic, but is the basic more resistant as opposed to roadwork?

i can personally care less if the killer spinner is a cadillac, if the honda civic can win the race! lol

what do yall think? theres a big difference in $750 vs $950 after shipping to cali!

is it REALLY worth the extra $ to go with the killer spinner?

A dogs heart rate is faster than a humans naturally, it is also hard to get a dogs heart rate to increase than a humans. The point of a free spinning mill over other forms of running a dog is to be able to keep the dogs heart rate up for a longer period of time.if you are running a dog, next to a bike on a carpet mill or a slat cat or jenny you are going. Depending on nutrition and genetics build up latic acid in the muscle ( fatigue) the dog faster and not spend as much time conditioning the heart and lungs.
