West Union, Iowa - BSL Alert

    IOWA WEST UNION

    City Attorney Jeff Clements is drafting an ordinance which will ban
    Dobermans, Rottweilers and pit bulls.

    They have a dangerous dog law in place, there have been no incidents.
    This is a "proactive measure" based on Denvers Law, brought up to the Council by residents of the city who are scared of a new families barking dog, which may or may not be a "pit bull".
    There is no fax or email available. City Clerk stated that hard copy mail would get the attention of the City Administrator.

    Please take the time to print out a letter and mail off by "snail"!!!!

    UPDATE 9-20-05
    West Union, IA - Meeting last night-removed Rotts and Dobe's from proposal.
    This has moved to its first reading on the 3rd of October. The language now reads a ban on pit bulls only.
