Tick paralysis

I got home from work around 3:30 on Friday and my 11 month old male AB was completely immobilized. I’ve dealt with Lyme plenty of times throughout the years, so I decided to put him on an anti inflammatory and a cycle of doxy I had laying around from a different ordeal. Anyway, after 12 hours and only a single dose of both, he was up walking around slowly. Now, Sunday morning and 4 doses all together- he’s back to 100%. I thought this was a little too fast for doxy
To work so I reached out to a vet. She mentioned to me that “tick paralysis” is very common and only lasts for the duration the tick is attached. Fuckin annoying because I spend a shit ton of money on sorestos to avoid these problems. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and how long you waited to get back to working the dog. I’m going to finish the doxy cycle just to be safe.
