its not far fetched, you will probably never be able to get to travel that fast because our speed is limited... i dont mean by technology but its only physically possible for you to travel so fast before every molecule you're made of expands. Time and space are connected, the faster you travel through space the faster you travel through time also... this is how worm holes work also like the guy above posted. A worm hole is a shortcut through space but could also be a shortcut through time since they are connected. But if you travel through space that fast, you will have skipped a great amount of distance and time.. so by the time u get back to earth X amount of time will have went by... even though u have not aged at all or experienced all the time that passed cuz u literally sped through it in a aircraft lol

as for time travelling.....everytime anyone looks through one of those big telescopes they are essentially looking into the past.....what they are viewing is light that has been travelling for many years from a star....by the time that light has hit your eye the planets/star that you would be viewing may have collapsed n not even be there!!...so in essence.....a telescope is a time machine.....its helping you literally watch the past as it happened!!

 

as for black holes.....they dont know how they are ever going to test the theory that it transports as its gravity just rips everything apart.....if light cant escape it then signals(before being destroyed) cant be sent either!
