Sports Bettors.

  1. Bodog was recently busted. They have issued indicments to those that run the site.

Bovada is the new site that about a month ago, bodog account holders were ushered to.

  2. I learned to stay away from online when the feds went after sportsbook.com years ago. If the dude that owns that site ever steps foot in the USA again they are waiting to arrest him. Least that's what was on 60 minutes I believe it was when they did the story on it back when it all happened.

  3. Seems Bodog knew it was coming. All there customers were ushered to another parent site known as Bovada. They are up and running.

I was always under the impression that it was the site not the actual bettor that could be in hot water. Maybe times have changed.

  4. From my understanding it's not the betting that they go after you for. Somehow it's the credit card transaction that is illegal. I don't know the exact charge they go after you for, but it's the same as online poker now.

  5. How would that be illegal? I mean if you use your credit card for something that is in another country, you are charged a fee. If you use your bank card, the fee is charged by your bank as well. Doesn't make sense.
