i have a wooden frame the belting and the sliding surface already jsut cant seem to get my hands on rollers what are some of the materials yall use for rollers on a carpet mill. any suggestionswould be appreciated as i would see what is available in my country. was thinking about lawnmower wheels anyone ever used these?
I actually tried some steelrolling pins but it was extremely difficult to turn and really was not serving its purpose. once again any help necessary. some of the materialsyou guys use are nto available over here

i have used PVC pipe with pipe insulation around an axle. I have used lawnmower wheels. I like roller blade wheels with wood slats stapled to them. they are free turning and relatively inexpensive.

There's some you tube videos out for anyone that is interested in building one, some better than others of course. But check out you tube and get an idea,it's just some cheap materials and a little time. Here's one video,I would have liked to seen a dog on it,but it seems like it should work.I plan on doing something similiar with PVC rollers except I want sides on it and may try to use a little nicer wood. But it should work, definately inexpensive enough I'll find out, lol.
