Reginald Johnson loses legal fight to get pit bull back after allegedly trying to hang her
Judge rules against man after hearing 911 call

    6:35 PM EDT Mar 29, 2013

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. —A West Palm Beach man who was fighting to get his pregnant dog back after allegedly hanging her from a tree just lost his case in court.

A judge ruled against Reginald Johnson in his bid to regain custody of his pit bull, Trinity, and her puppies, after hearing a 911 call from a witness to the January hanging.

"He took his dog outside and started hanging her from the tree. She's pregnant, she's almost about to have her babies," the caller said.

The caller said she was the daughter of Johnson’s ex-girlfriend, that her mother was trying to evict Johnson and he had shown up that morning and grabbed the pregnant dog, threw her leash over a branch and heaved her into the air.

"The dog was literally off the ground, crying, because he tied her to the tree," the caller said. "She was hanging from her leash."

After deputies arrested Johnson, Animal Care and Control seized Trinity, who later gave birth. ACC sued to take permanent custody of the dogs, but the case looked grim after witnesses became afraid of retribution and refused to testify.

Friday, a judge heard the 911 call and ordered the dogs to remain with the county.

Trinity, who was able to slip out of her collar and wasn’t badly injured, was taken with her puppies to an undisclosed location out of fear they would be stolen.

Sounds like he was letting the dog tug on a rope hanging from a tree and the dog was making noises like alot of dogs do when playing with a springpole. And there perception of it was eeeehhhhhh wrong. But i could be wrong but.... that would be almost impossible.
