    Cheers. I love the old dogs and pictures. Shame the common man didn't have access to photography in those days or we would have seen a lot more dog pictures. Notice how those that had their dogs photographed were either large scale breeders like Colby, Henry and the likes or educated men that were sucessful in other ventures. William Evett was Chief of Police, had his own Guard and police dog kennels, had a Chicken Farm, ran two hotels and other ventures. Walter C Kelly was Marine Editor at a Newspaper, had his own Eiree kennels, had a chicken farm also.
