I find it interesting to look back through alot of posted peds here and see that when ya can trace back to the 40' 50' 60' and 70's there all have the short-fat show type SBT's most of us want no part off.:confused:
Does anyone have a Pedigree of there's that does not?

The "Staffordshire Bull Terrier" as a name was created for the intention of showing in the 30's so is hardly surprising to find show dogs in the peds.

Us that have no interest in showing, the best we can do is breed for a functional dog with the correct temperament. They all spawned from the bull and terrier type so the potential is there given time! ;)

even today when the show type dogs are bred, the odd pup in the litter will turn out a lot taller and of a leaner type than the parents. one instance that comes to mind is when a 17inch black brindle dog was put across a 16inch brown brindle bitch .in the litter there was a large scew/bald dog, which a friend of mine bought, he made 19.5inch and very atheletic.
