I would have to say if I had to get a different breed the an APBT it would be a Boston terrier.
One of my new foster pups is a English bulldog x pit bull. Maybe more than half english bulldog and I seem to be getting real attached to her. She is so funny and very talkative. So I guess my list would be Boston Terrier, English Bulldog and maybe a Doberman again.

  2. I love the Presa Canario. I had a pit till about a year ago but I have always bred Presas. You cannot beat a Pitbull in the drive and game departments. I have always liked bigger dogs with good guarding ability.I have a litter due in 2 weeks if any one is interested. Here are the rest of my dogs at http://www.theoriginalshogunkennels.com

ABK you know whats funny I have never been a fan of Chows. And that us because when they come into the clinic they usually are not too friendly. But I FELL IN LOVE with this solid black chow pup Biggie. He is 14wks and has been comming in since he was 6 weeks. He is boarding with us this week and I LOVE HIM! I never though I would say that. LOL I sneak and play with him. He is beautiful.

Now as far as liking other breeds. Bostons, Bull Mastiffs, Presas, English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Dobies, Cane Corsos, Dogue de bordeaux

My dad was a bird dog trainer, I grew up with Irish and English setters, I still love them. I own a lab now that is with a trainer doing a few trials. But my real love now, other than pits of course, is my patterdales.

Here is a picture of one them
This is Blake, he has his beer goggles on!

    Cat.

I had a liver-nosed tabby as a kid. DA as hell though. Not many cats seem to genuinely enjoy jacking up the neighborhood dogs.

I wish I had gotten a kitten off of him.

I would take a patterdale or a dogo.

  9. I really like Neo Mastiffs, Cane Corso, and Rotty's...
