    Bentley the wonderdog - puppy walks away after 40ft bridge plunge

    WONDERDOG Bentley plunged 40ft from a bridge - and escaped with just a dislocated hip.
    The Staffordshire terrier pup took off after a bird.
    Horrified Laurine McGarrigle was so sure her dog was dead she could not look. Then a passer-by told her the dog had landed on grass and was being cared for by some Japanese tourists.
    It happened as Laurine, 38, from Dennistoun in Glasgow, and brother Ralph took Bentley for a walk near the city's Necropolis at the cathedral last Sunday.
    Laurine said: "I was screaming. It took me a few seconds to realise Bentley wasn't dead."
    He is now back home after four days at the vet's - and he is staying on his leash in future.
