    Hi everyone.
A friend of mine owns a pit thats about 2 years old but the problem is the dog fell and injured his leg causing a luxating pattella to occur. The dog was operated on twice but has gained arthiritis due to the operation not being sucessful the first time. When the weather grows cold he gets a lil lame where he will walk with a slight limp when pulling. Do you think it is possible for this dog to be conditioned and get the same results as normal dogs. Thankyou

Im not sure of the severity of the injury but glucosamine would be a could supplement that could help him out.

You could try both Glucosomine (sulphate not HCL) and Chondroitin. Of the two supplements Glucosomine sulphate is the most important. However, it is when these two supplements are combined that the full synergistic effect takes place.

A ratio of 750 mg/600mg (or 500mg/400mg) would seem of optimal proportion. If you can get these supplements in the liquid form, and pharmaceutical grade, this would be ideal.
