Health reform bill pass

Well social security went upside down yesterday, and they rolled out the new long term care package without even mentioning it was in the new and improved healthcare overhaul. It only cost 125.00 a month from every american that works. Its a easy federal withdrawl there going to manage it for you until your old kinda like social security, cause were to fucking stupid to take care of our selves. They will spend that money faster than they can print it giving you the IOU's like allways. They Have to begin building there secret police to manage the disruption that is going to begin as they take the 2nd amendment out of our constitution. Maybe then some will begin to believe that a real transformation of our country is happening right now.

Honestly I believe it is a scapegoat situation, Much like you used. You ran out of things to say so you decided to try the race deal to try and get a point across.

1. I made my point a long time ago 2. when a thread like this one and when some one here use the word lazy and people on welfare and selling crack the stereo type and some of you use this is as the reason for America down fall, and the first thing that comes to people mind when they read something like this is blacks and you know this so i don't need to use race to get a point across pimpin its just what your type does lol:p

1.) A reason people live on welfare for generations could because they are lazy. The other option is because some people dont have many opportunities to succeed. If you grow up how i did everyone wants to be an entertainer or athlete because other than dope dealers everyone else is broke. Bad education equals low act/sat scores. Whether or not you graduate hs ur stuck in the projects working part-time at mcdonalds maybe....

2.) I dont blame white people in 2K10 for the way things are, i just want people to admit that there are barriers and their is a difference racially, and culturally. To succeed in the business word as a black man i have to change the way I walk and talk. Im not talking about pants hangin off my ass and all that but i have to do what the white man does in order to be considered civilized, educated and to be respected. Thats culture more than race bc i think that "trailer park trash" is pretty low on the totem pole as well. Point is that if i walk and talk like i am from where i am actually from i will be judged before they get the chance to see how smart i am or what i could bring to the table.

I take responsibilty for my life because bitchin about it wont make it better. I cant blame someone else for what i dont achieve, just sayin i have to work a little harder at it then others. If i told you all my moms story you wouldn' believe it, straight out of a movie. VERY FEW people, myself def included, could have done what she did for herself, me, my bros and family. Most people in her situation would be broke lazy people, including most the people complaining about those people...

But i guess those who know know and those who dont dont lol

That may be what bothers me, I pulled myself up by the bootstraps and worked very hard. I was born in the Ozark mountains in a cabin, Schooling only went so far but what I learned was that hard work can take you anyplace.

I left home and moved to Texas and literally arrived with pocket change, I saved up enough money back home to secure a home and that was about it. I took the money I had left after I arrived and purchased a bicycle so I could get around and get back and forth to work. I had dogs not to long after I arrived and I used to get their feed and things of that nature by hooking a wagon up to the bike and load everything in that, Don't think that was rough going trying to pedal home sacks of dog feed and other things,lol. I worked for a good while and along my way I found a girl I took a liking to, We started courting and in the not to distant future I asked her hand in marriage and she accepted. At the time I was working 3 jobs and literally only had about 3 or 4 hours sleep 6 days per week. I saved enough money through hard work to secure a used pickup but it was paid for in full. I got married and 9 months later my first child was born, I was still working very hard as a gas station attendant, a loader at the local co-op and and also a night shift at the local lumber mill cutting wood and things of that nature.

Through hard work and diligent savings I secured everything my family needed and it was paid for, With what was left over I decided to make a small investment in the stock market and a local business that was starting up. Stock market didn't turn out so well but the local business did well for a short time, Again through diligent savings and living within my means I was able to secure enough money that when the time came and the local business was sold I was able to buy my first bare bones equipment I needed to start my own business which was a petroleum business, Myself and another dogman named Dave Lewis founded a oil company and grew it into one of the largest businesses that was in Midland Texas during the first boom of the 70's-80's. When that boom went flat the company was shut down much like most of the other oil companies in that day, Everyone lost their shirts because they went around like madmen spending money on everything they could see, Again through diligent savings and hard work not just myself and Dave, but 99% of our employees left better than they arrived...And it was due to the good example we set for them as a company.

You could not start with less than I did, I worked hard and was not afraid to do so. I never made excuses and I never let anyone tell me what I COULDN'T do. You can make and find any number of excuses for everything but ultimately it falls down to you. After the first business went out I laid low for a while and then gradually got back into the business working for other corporations in the area doing any number of different things, I worked in the upper offices but at the same time you could find me down there helping anyone that needed it. Many a day on what was supposed to be my 2 hour lunch break I could be found sitting with the janitors and other folks who were considered on the low end on things and I would have lunch and a lot of times pick up a mop or what have you and do it right along with them.

I then retired and realized that I had nothing to retire to and was not content just staying at home, not to awful long ago I was told I was to old to do any work and since I was diagnosed with Alzheimers I was not capable. Now I could have took that advice and said "Well so and so said I couldn't do it so I am not going to try" But you know what I am doing right now, I am the CEO of my own company again as well as a elder at a local church and I am also on the board of the largest geophysical business in the Texas and Oklahoma area.

And as far as schooling...I think I did pretty well for a person with a 5th grade education.

Like I said, I never ask nor expect anyone to do something I haven't done myself and I expect people to give 110% every single time. If you truly give it your all and just flat can not help yourself then I will be the first to help, But you will be hard pressed to find a person that can not do something to make a living and take care of their obligations.

old timer i respect what you did, you have to realize times aren't like that
look at the economy, people cant get 1 job let alone 3. I agree you worked hard for yourself but in 2010 thats just not the way things are. I understand why you feel the way you do but you have to look past the stereotypes and see what is really going on.

 

dreampits people make there own opportunity's just like i did. buddy im half jamaican & half italian born & raised in miami. the cards were stacked against me from day one i blazed my own trail never conforming to anything. nothing is fair & shit ain't sweet across the bord so suck it up & roll. i could have said fuck it & worried about what disadvantage i was given & except the hand i was delt. sheeet bro i was 23 making 250k a year without any education no credit & paid cash for brand new cars did whatever i wanted had a maid & been living good i got mine. so opportunity is there for eveyone but you have to take it.

 

And that's real, but people hate the truth and that's the problem, dig i live in the suburbs my rent is $750.00 i pay child support $484.00 for one child i work in the automotive and being lied off off and on and trying to keep up with bills. So don't tell me i don't know any thing about hard work i pay my fucking tax and the lazy living off me as well but you don't see me bitching about it people need help to get by that's all:cool:

 

Well I could go along with that, But at the same time not only was I able to secure a job with the geophysical company but I started my own company no less. All during this rough time, I in no way deny that there is a rough patch and it is a bad one but there is always a market for something and if you can't find jobs in your area you need to make your own. People just can't lay down and feel that they can't accomplish something in their lives and they sure can't be afraid of hard work.

Like I said before never let anyone tell you what you can't do, Anyone can do anything but very few actually take the risk and do what it takes. Are you going to fail? More than likely (I know I sure did) but that didn't stop me and it sure shouldn't stop anyone from just getting right back in there again. I bet you received some rejections from schools even though you were great at sports but that sure didn't stop you from getting in there and doing what you had to do and why....Because you wanted to be able to provide a better life for yourself and your family and if I was able to I would shake your hand and congratulate you for doing so. There are always people who say no you can't and you never will be able to do anything or your a failure (I received a good few of those from my own family members) But a person needs to decide whether or not they are going to sit there and go along with that non sense or tell them to mind their own business and prove them wrong.

Excellent advice Ben and it is nice to hear a young person saying things like that.

Sounds like you do know about hard work, And it sounds to me like your a prime example of a person that is capable of starting their own business. If you fix cars and have been in the business you know the prices so offer to do repairs cheaper, When you do you will see business start rolling in and before you know it you will have your own building with your own employees and you can teach them by example on how to save and such.

If I was able to I would also shake your hand for being their to support your child, That is a common theme today with a lot of "men" in the fact that they produce children but never take care of them.

Yeah I was close a couple times on closing it but seen it was a good discussion and people were actually acting like adults so I figured I would leave it and if you or one of the other staff wanted to do something with it they could.

 

This post is so sad to me. I am reading about the defeat of our country as it is systematically transformed into a wellfair state. Higher taxes and no incentives to create jobs. Millions out of work that causes less consumption of goods and services and leads to more layoffs. All the wile our professional polititions are living as the elite they belive they are. They have spent all the money we as american citizens do not even own our country any longer. China owns more of our debt than we do. They know that if they continue with those extended unemployment checks as millions more are laid off, and keep borrowing more from China, to fund a healthcare program for all that are in need. And give amnesty to all the illegals so they can have a slave labor force. They know they can get the votes to further there agenda. Elites, Unions, Wellfair, and slaves

 

Thanx old timer I love my son to death and that's why i try and can't die in this fuck up world because of it, my dad wasn't there in my life and i be damn to let my son go throw what i went throw growing up. And the reason my dad deep is because of my mom crazy ass so i understand because i went throw it with my son mom and that was HELL! so

But on the other note old timer, my Job was line Production we ship stuff to J-nap and Chrysler so I'm getting unemployment right now and I'm hating it. Michigan is BAD and i mean BAD! for Jobs I'm looking for something new right now and the shit isn't cutting it, its super tight in this bitch i wish i knew something to start a business but all i know is factory work so i thought about school so i might just do that.

 

First of all, Since when is having insurance = to good health care? How can they even pretend this is a health care reform? It’s will be genicide for the elderly. They cannot afford to wait long periods for care. I cannot believe intelligent people could make this law and not realize they were signing the death warrant on millions of our most medically vunerable citizens. Is this their way of dealing with the failing social security system? Afterall, older people will not be able to draw social security if they’re all dead. They've paid into the system all their lives, now just slap them in the face, and increase what they pay, and take away their benefits, or better yet, if they are dead, they can't use them. Is this what we want for our parents? I know I don't, and still wonder why if this new so called health care reform is good enough for the people, why is Obama and his minions exempt from it?

Just as long as some pedophile has access to free viagra, that's all that matters.

This is just the start of what is to come. The people that worked their life time to earn the benefits they receive after retirement will be gone just so those that don't want to work can have health coverage. To bad that those in full charge for the health plan didnt understand what this will mean to this country and our freedom of choice. Why should I pay for someone to have health insurance when they wont work to get it. We pay for our insurance, it isnt free. Why Why Why would anyone support the loss that we as a country will have over this and more to come. May God Bless America.

I am assuming your of able body, What do you know about painting or minor home repair? If your able to paint you can purchase nice sprayers at the local home depot and I understand Michigan is very very bad right now, But people are investing in it and they are coming from out of state to do so. Homes are being bought at auctions and flipped to sell when the time comes so the need for painters and minor repairs are in demand right now. You can pick up a sprayer for a few hundred dollars and make your money back and then some on the first job....Just a thought.

 

A reasonable request has been made and it is expected to be followed, I didn't say you had to agree with me but I asked that if you had something to say to send it to me in private. This has been a very good discussion for everyone and I don't really want to see it shut down because of one person looking to feel important.

yeah its not like i disagree with you. All i was simply stating is that things arent equal, nothin more nothin less. I know how it is and it isnt gonna change, im not crying about it just stating how i feel. Im not on section 8 or food stamps and wont be anytime soon. Maybe not 250k a year but ill be ok haha!
