    NEW Location!!!
    Union County Dragway
    2102 Santuc - Carlisle Highway
    Union, SC.
    May 17th, and 18th, 2013

The 2012 Steel In Motion show has come and gone but the great memories still linger on and the anticipation for 2013 is steadily growing. The grounds at the dragstrip were covered with 400 of the coolest old school hot rods, customs and motorcycles. The 2012 event included a Friday night pre-party at the track with a large crowd of cars and spectators on hand to enjoy the evening. Both Friday and Saturday included bands on stage playing their signature tunes that just made the weekend celebration even greater. On Saturday the grudge races were spectacular with the drop of a flag, wheel stands, 1/8 mile burn outs and door to door action. Thanks to all the participants and spectators that made this one hell of a weekend and a great time!

For 2013, we have some very exciting news. The show is moving to Union County Dragway! The facility is just 4 years old and very appealing to both participants of the show and spectators. It offers large restrooms and 4 hot showers, 2 for the men and 2 for the ladies. The staff works extremely hard keeping the track surface in tip top condition and it hooks like no other in the region. The grounds are very flat, making it easy for everyone to get around and check out all the action. The great facilities, professional staff at the track and the support of Union County has us very excited about the 2013 Steel In Motion show.

Get yourself in gear and get ready for 2013!

The change in the venue has required changes to some of our racing rules for all vehicles. See our rules page, for the information you will need to know, prior to arriving at the show.

    PLEASE READ all the Rules!

For the first time ever, we are proud to announce the first Miss Steel in Motion Pin-Up Contest! The objective is to find a pinup that exemplifies what it means to be a great pinup in today's modern world. We are looking for a pinup darling who can carry herself in a crowd but who shines above the rest, someone who is positive, professional, kind and compassionate. This is not a contest based solely on popularity or cosmetic appeal, but on that includes inner beauty as well.

This is a contest to showcase the classic glamour of the 1940's and 50's. We've all see the World War II nose art Memphis Belle and Aluminum Overcast. We've all seen the black and white glossies of Betty Grable and Marilyn Monroe. Let's bring the beauty and glamour back!

PRE-PARTY!!! The show will again include a Friday pre-party, with 2 bands and overnight camping. Also back again will be the Cackle Crawl where select cars that can make the hair stand up on the back of your neck will make an idle pass down the dragstrip (by invitation only). There will not be any racing on Friday. The gates open at 4pm Friday, May 17th.
