I LOVE HIM ;);) love those ears as well! but I agree heavy boned, strong and a well proportioned body with muscled cheeks, and a semi blocky head seems to sum it up for my preference as far as body type goes what a beautiful bulldog!!!!!

  2. I have heard the same about RR. That is a great looking dog you have there in your own right.

I like a dog thats long and lean. I hafta agree with Franzi's post...

And I've always been a fan of this dog's conformation too:

Damn thats a looker. Nothing better than a nice compact, lean muscular pitbull terrier.

popper - from what I recall he was a show dog and only a show dog, he did not have the heart or nose to be a Hogg Hunter. Beautiful Dog, I want to say the first UKC and ADBA Champion of both... If not the first then of the very very few who are, but from what I remember he was no Hunter.

Haha easy there Jelet, those are fightin' words! ;)

He's not a gamebred dog. Bred to be pretty... and he is! CH in ADBA, UKC, and weightpull. I feel like calling this dog an Amstaff is kinda harsh though. He's an ADBA show dog.

lol, well his ped speaks for itself.

AMSTAFFS used to be APBTS... They come from them. But amstaffs were no longer bred for the [ ] so they turned into amstaffs/diff breed name... as you know.

Now look at the dogs pedigree, when was the last time a dog was matched inside his pedigree?

His ancestors were APBT if you go far far back. But look at it now. All show dogs being bred for show and not the [ ] .I do not even see a fighting dog within the 4th generation pedigree. I do not see one till the 8th generation mark.... And that is only one parent, the other parent's line doesnt show a fighting dog till the 16th generation mark... Clearly an amstaff.

What separates an amstaff between an American PIT bull terrier? That is your answer.. it is in the pudding.

of course everyone will agree with this statement and should because it is true but in all reality they are the same breed of dog
