    Good post mash, very true, we'll never really know as dead dogs don't make scratches.... Good topic to talk about though even though it's strictly theory based.

    Always a great topic. I sway back and forth, somewhat fence ride, because either side can make some valid points.


    Football fans and basket ball fans have the same arguments all the time.


    I believe the greats from any era would compete very well against another era. The greats find a way.


    The idea would then be line up the really good ones and do a comparison and then compare the average run of the mill dogs. I think comparing eras the greats would be a push, the really good ones would be a slight favorite to the dogs of today and the average run of the mill dogs would be heavier toward the dogs of yesteryear.


    Can't ride a fence any better than that, LOL.
