    Good decision!

He is a very handsome boy. Do you have any plans for training with him?

I am sure he is, but if the media there is anything like the media here, they will call it a "pit bull" no matter what it truly is. The Media loves to make the breed look bad, even if the breed isn't involved...

Also, to your guarding question, it shouldn't affect his personality at all. So, if he is a good guardian with balls, he'll be a good guardian without them.

yeh he is nice but the rash on his face makes him look scary :(.
well i started training him since he was 3 months old and i got him (i had him since he was 4 weeks and fed him milk my self) he is hard to train i spent hours on him a day and he learned well hsi only problem is he has a short attention span and he is too playfall which can be annoying when you want to train him to stop jumping on a tree branch but i would soon get some pro help.
Right now he behaves very good i find the more i take him out the more he behaves well (tire him out) so its been 2 days since ive been making him walk and run for miles and other stuff.

A tired dog is a well behaved dog!

Presa tend to be much more hard headed and less handler- sensitive than most pits I have met. As he gets older his energy level will decrease, but his desire to be the "pack leader" will increase- you will find he is more focused, but less willing to accept your leadership. I encourage you to find a good professional trainer and work with them. It really can be quite a lot of fun to have a dog with excellent obedience on him (and you can even compete with him neutered). Plus, it will give you a chance to go out and show what your dog can do, and to be an ambassador for bully breeds everywhere!

yeh i noticed he is trying to get more dominant and walk in front of me and so on and he is a attention seeker, still makes puppy noises just for other people to think his cute and pet him :P but i dont see his energy going down lol he would get more mature but his energy would stay like his older brothers and his dad (i know what to expect from him because i see his brothers allot). I would find a good trainer (if his willing to train a over grown staff :D) i would focus on leadership which i think can be a problem in the future. I wish i can show him and do other things but his a mix and he has pitbull in him which is illegal in the UK :S but still i tell people what breed he is and they get shocked ''how friendly he is how can it have pitbull in him he isnt trying to kill me'' well atleast they are learning but there is 3 pitbulls around the corner where i live and they are not socialised they attack anything they see they even attacked my dog (on leash but theres off) and luckily there dogs big but they are not game as they ran off when my dog bit one of them, so those dog owners can make the breed look very bad :(.
Im love presa's one day i would get a full presa which i like the sandlar kennels one :)

I have been trying to get my neighbor to to alter her male for about three years, but she keeps saying "I'll just spay the female." The female is not the problem, the male is. He is very territorial and aggressive. I don't still understand why she has not done anything about either dog. They don't show or anything. I don't think he will miss them that much. I also think if he had been altered at an early age, he would not be so aggressive and not attacked my dogs so many times. Not to mention the health bennefits.

  13. no dont do it. he wont be the same in old age. i bhad a boy who got neutered unwillingly(aspca) afterwards he gained 20lbs and no longer cared for his favorite activities.
