Broken teeth at show

Anyone know if broken teeth or scars are faults on ADBA conformation shows?

yeah broken teeth are, Kate greenwood told me it was, and from what i understand she is Captain Dogshow

 

broken teeth are indeed a fault, scars are not

 

open wounds are not tolerated, scars are though

 

Ok, i thought maybe it wasnt a fault since its a working breed and teeth breaking happens hehe.

 

We win with dogs with no teeth somtimes. Every judge is different weather they are suppose to be or not.

I thought it was ok unless a k9 was missing.

 

In my case its not missing but broken, we showed Tete at ADBSI show but i didnt ask the judge. Now my brothers dog broke another canine in a stupid accident and we were wondering if it could be a fault.

One year ago i had an accident to offleash dog and i think my dog bite the ground because i pulled the leash before dogs made contact, when i checked the dog i saw the broken canine.

Im lucky i have a very good friend that is specialist on dog mouth and will seal my brother's dog teeth to advoid infection but repair the teeth is like 200$ and a new one (ceramic/titanium) is like 900$ but its unbreakable.

I think our dog insurance will cover the bill.

 

I hope you can get it done with insurance, pretty expensive otherwise.

Can I ask where in Spain you are?

 

I was told by a judge and member of this board that as long as the teeth line up it wasnt an issue

 

I live in Valencia, 9 and 10 October there is an ADBA Fun Show and we plan to show 3 dogs in conformation and climbing.
