Bloodlines??????

I just recieved my papers to a pup i just got and i wondering could anyone help me on how to get an idea of what is her bloodline. i would post the pedigree but don't know how can someone help me?

 

The easiest way to post the pedigree would be just scan a picture of it and upload it to game-dogs.com then copy and paste the link that is given under the picture.

You could post sire and dam's full name maybe someone will see if they are listed on peds. online.

 

Sire Egin's "LOU" and Dam R. Egin's "HONEY" I guess that's the sire and dam

 

If noone finds the sire/dam on peds online. this is the best solution for you. You should be able to do a 4 generation ped. rather quickly and people will be able to look and tell you their opinion then.

 

I'll do the build a ped thing later don't really have time now thank you.

From what I gather it looks kinda scatter bred to me.Top side is Redboy/Red Devil and some AKC Ruffian. Bottom side is some Jeep/Rascal but it's pretty watered down.Thats my take on it.

 

ok where did you the bloodlines red devil, jeep, etc. that's what im really trying to find out how to do. and does top(sire) and bottom(dam) mean sire and dam? please let me know im trying to get a little dog educated here. thank you.

 

IronLines Bossman is a RedBoy/Red Devil bred dog and Brownstones Hanno and Early's Skeet are Jeep/Rascal bred.

 

you got to check at least all the 4 generation dogs background if not even more to get a better picture

 

so what does the top and bottom mean when they say that? and how do i search the generations on adba with the numbers after the name or do i use the names im trying to figure out how to do it myself. thanks you all for the help.

 

Be patient, it takes a long time to learn to read a ped. You have to be able to recognize so many different dogs and kennels to do it that it takes some time and effort.

Topside is the top of the ped and that will be the sire's ped. Bottomside is the dam's ped.

 

Your dog also has Some staff blood (but belive it or not they were bred for working ability) Millers "blue rondo" Was down from Kinders"wizard gator and Bullets" southern boni"These were ADBA staffs and were bred quite a bit due to the gameness they had.I even had a dog down from Walkers Jack the ripper, bred to some Dennys OJ stuff Crossed to old Iron Head blood. And they were Very good dogs and all were under 40 lbs. I havent seen that stuff in a bout 10 years. And I may add even though they have a speck of Staff blood It was for sure the best staff Ive ever seen. J

 

Some of this dog's decendants went on to be top performing and producing AKC staffs. Benmar's Sharp Shooter is one of the better known ones.

Yea some of those dogs go way back to crazy old stuff like black jack, and pincher they are down from old stock. To bad most of the people didnt keep them real. J
