    Did You Know?

That a 13 year old boy was mauled by an aggressive kangaroo on a golf course in Australia? That a young tourist was eaten by a saltwater crocodile, also in Australia?
As the population grows and more space is taken from wildlife, the number of encounters between humans and wild animals increases. These may or may not be positive encounters.
The golf course is under attack for not providing enough warnings about kangaroos that may behave aggressively. This may or may not have prevented the boy's injuries as the tourist was killed when she was taking a nighttime swim in crocodile infested waters, despite many signs warning of the danger.
Being aware of animals in the area, avoiding direct contact if possible, and certainly avoiding feeding them, helps to ensure that contact is limited and safe. There are many parks that offer encounters with wildlife, but following the posted warnings is critical, for your health and the health of the animals.
I can see it now. .. not only are kangaroos vicious, they have a pouch to hide your stuff in lol..
