So much crazy shit going on nowadays. I'm guilty of sometimes overlooking gods gift of life. For the folks yall care about be sure to let them know. Don't be a shit bag and don't take the little stuff for granted. A homeboy just the other day told me " you only get one spin around life" seeing folks getting murked on the news everyday seems like. So let your people know you appreciate the time with them.

It's true! I lost my closest friend to a stroke nearly 10 years ago, he was the kindest, most intelligent and funny man I ever met , we were teenagers together, raised our families together and now he's gone, never thought I could miss anyone so much..

There's an old Scottish saying "TAK TENT O TIME ERE TIME BE TINT", it means, 'make the most of your time on earth while it lasts'.

    No doubts. Great post.

My best friend growing up lost his son to gun violence last week. 27 years old and the fight started because he was pursuing custody from his trashy girlfriend. The new boyfriend took a cheap shot at him and he looked him in the eye then kicked the shit out of him.

Young people can't take the ass whooping no more. He went home got a shotgun and killed one and shot another.

    Families destroyed over nothing.

So BB is spot on. Make sure they know because the number of crazy people is ever growing.

That's shitty. Damn. In today's world life is cheap unfortunately. Can loose it over the dumbest shit. I haven't had anyone die tragically that I was close to for some years now but then again, I'm not really close these days with anyone so that could be why.

I believe the Aberdonian dialect comes from an old Nordic language called 'Doric' and there's still traces of it in north east of Scotland today.. Even lowland Scots can hardly understand it, and the English got no chance.. I was on a train from Inverness one time and the ticket conductor was a huge man with a whisky drinkers face, a young student girl wanted to pass him in isle so he stepped to one side and said "gang bye quine", it means 'you can go bye mam', but even I was was shocked, it's literally another language.. Read somewhere there were still Gaelic Scots in 1920 who couldn't speak English.

Aberdeen an old city famed for fishing industry before hitting jackpot as centre of 80's oil industry, still big money up there..

During early 90's I walked GR CH Bill and Black Max 2xw around a big graveyard in north Glasgow, sometimes after a workout we'd rest in a nice spot next to the grave of Will Fyfe who wrote the famous song ' I belong to Glasgow'..

Next to (or close to) Will Fyfe's grave there was an 19th century memorial head stone with epitaph inscribed on bottom that read 'AS YOU ARE I WAS - AS I AM YOU WILL BE'.. I never sat near Will Fyfe's grave again after reading that, still puts hairs up on back of my neck.. Kind of symbolic of BB's original post, well in my mind anyway.
