Man told pet dog to 'eat' police officers in Glasgow

A man set his bulldog on police and told them the animal would "eat them", a court has heard.
Terry Hadden was found guilty of a breach of the peace at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
The court heard he had been walking his pet, an American Johnson breed called Tess, in Dennistoun in the city in May when a police van pulled up.
He shouted abuse and told the dog to bite the officers. He will be sentenced next month.
Prosecutor Seana Doherty said: "Due to the accused's aggressive behaviour, the dog became extremely aggressive barking and lunging forward."
The animal then broke free from its chain and Hadden taunted a female officer claiming she was "scared".
He admitted a breach of the peace involving shouts, threats and instructing his pet to attack police.
Sheriff Andrew Cubie said: "This is an appalling bit of behaviour from someone who should know better."
Hadden was allowed to keep the dog.
