    Geneva City Pit Bull Ordinance

Several pet owners voiced opposition to a proposed pit bull ordinance being drafted in one Wiregrass city.

The pit bull owners told the Geneva City Council it's unfair to label the breed as dangerous.

Within the last six-months, two area children were attacked by pit bulls.

Geneva officials are looking at placing restrictions on the animals when they appear in public.

Mayor Karen Simmons says national statistics indicate 80-percent of the dog bites in America are from the bull breeds.

The Geneva city attorney plans to have a draft of the pit bull ordinance at the next council meeting in April.
