I read a little about this dog i will type it up later on, does anyone have any more info on this big dog or some decent pictures?

Yes iv read he was used as a roll dog after 2 matches fell through. He went 35mins with limeys dillenger apparently scratching 6 times with a dislocated paw in 80 degree heat, this is what i read in "the other side of the coin".

 

that book is full of shit, i am sure limey can tell you if this claim is true if he sees this thread, not saying it is or is not but i would take anything in that book with a pinch of salt until it is confirmed.

Lol the copy i have has colour photos inserted its a decent read. As for asking Limey i already have done but he informed me that Limey kennels had a few members and they would know more about the staffords than him. I also read Geordie lads nasher was matched into a limey kennel dog.

 

this Gordie lad's believed to be a true to his work in his time, did not like the words quit or clemency

 

he did win over a limey bitch before he quit to rocky

 

the thing to remember is do not get carried away, nasher beat a cur,that had barnstormed one previously, he did not beat a limey bitch the quality of say , ch dutch,prudence,tug ,ghoster etc. just because he beat a bitch belonging to that kennel does not make him a super dog as was later proven.

 

Pretty interested in the Sylus dog myself, but havent come up with much at all. Is his pedigree up anywhere, and what was his offspring like?

I've seen several pix & I have to say that Lightfoot looked fcuk all like a stafford (when mature) & didn't appear (imo) to take after the type of his parents.
I'm not implying his breeding is wrong,just an observation & pix can be very decieving.

After a bit of investigation, a dog called bludgeons blockbuster seems to be behind a lot of these dogs too

 

a mate had a sister to sylus, he left her on the owner of sylus,s yard to be mated but whilst on a chain she hung her self.........he wasnt pleased.

hello ..what was the sisters name called pal ? .. do u no how many dogs and bitches there was in the litter sylus came out of ?

 

Cant remember it was that long ago,she was brindle..... a nice leggy thing.
