When did mayday past jeep?
Frisco is the unofficial top Rom but not in the sdj.

My point is that no one reliable body is keeping track
of the rom standings so that list is worthless now and the last time it meant
anything and was close to being honest jeep was the top dog.

 

i'm pretty sure mayday passed jeep while the sdj was still in production

 

i thought jeep was too

as of the '04 yearbook, the list went as follows -

1. jeep - 19 pts
2. frisco - 14 pts
3. mayday - 14 pts
4. yellow - 14 pts
5. buck - 11 pts
6. werdo - 9 pts
7. tab - 9 pts

don't know when official record stop being kept, but like i said, that was as of the end of '04.

 

the journal was printed a couple more years after that. I'm pretty sure grch dynamite who was runner up in '04 took doy in '05. Interested if someone with the last updated list published could post it.

 

mine was basically from 2005, I was being a smart azz to the know it all, he popped off and left us nothing of his expertise in return

thanks minor. to be honest unless its my dog i don't give two shits who tops ROM but Mayday definitely produced and him passing Jeep doesn't make Jeep any less a producer. Thats just how things go

 

maybe, maybe not. Its all debatable and their are many factors, Jeep dogs didnt go to pet home for the most part, ton of Mayday and Frisco dogs did. Endless debate as we know

 

if your dog is bred to 10,000 of the best bitches and all go to active yards. you might have a rom male too..:p

 

then youre ripping on the entire ROM list, they were all bred to everything under the sun and should have been

threads like this bring out the soccer moms trying to break down percentages based off pedsonline, always a classic on this forum

I agree breed to the best, and when you do breed to alot of them.
Out of all the breedings any rom dog did only a few good ones survive
and that's why there should be no limit to a great performance dogs breedings.
There might be alot of pups around but 10 years down the road there are only a couple key breedings that make the cut.

The list chief kergin posted is the sdj list but the ROM system was continued and numbers were played around with which is how you get a number like 35+ for frisco.
It would be nice for someone to make a list of all of the top 4 rom dogs ofsprings for historical purposes just to see how the numbers really match up.

 

To me the most impressive modern production was Little John. Being that he wasn't bred as much, only to CML's yard and some of his friends. And the CH and points came from himself or his close friends. Very impressive stud career IMO.
