Honestly? You might as well be feeding your dog a cardboard box

Read the ingredients. . if you see these words RUN, don't walk, to a better food!

By-products, soybean mill run, soybean meal, corn meal, whole corn, whole yellow corn. . just to name a few of the worse ones.

I use to feed mine cheap food like that and they just shit it all out and get hungry again. For 1 month i been feeding raw Evo red meat its changed them 100%. Much more shine to the coat they eat less and they shit less, active dogs need higher protein. But ive also had dogs that ate nothing but Purina or store brand and they looked great. Your dog probably has good genetics you can feed him mexican food hel be alright.

  9. I hate foods like that, nothing but fillers. Might as well scrape up sawdust and corn and feed that instead. Comes back out the other end twice as much it seems. Some dogs do alright on it but it's pure junk. Both of mine were Pedigree fed pre-me and improved a ton after some better food, not to mention stopped with the killer gas.

i dont remember the lamb ingredients off the top of my head. But, I have never seen a proplan or any Purina without byproducts, corn and wheat. Which would mean, yes, it's not a good food.

If it says Purina on the bag, you could be doing better.
    'Nuff said

    ProPlan sucks
No corn, no soy, not too many vegetables, meat must be the number one ingredient. Preferably natural or holistic with no filler. No less than 24% protein

When you feed your dog raw does the dog loose weight or like get leaner less fat more muscle

It depends on what you feed and the keep the dog is under, but dogs generally become leaner

Stay away from grocery brands. IMO thas y sum dogs eat shit cuz that grocery shit has no nutritional value n it basically is the same as it comes out as when it went in. Yeah some foods cost a lot more but u also dont have to use nearly as much to get way more nutritional value! JMO do wut u do ya heard me!

There are two types of Purina dog feed one is the Purina chow and the other is the Purina Proplan. I have tried many of the grocery store brands and other low quality ingredient brands of dog food and they all where junk IMO but for some reason the Purina brand was the only dog food dispite what the ingredients say has really worked well for my dogs. I have used the Purina puppy chow and the Purina Proplan Performance feed and both of them worked extremely well for my dogs. There are alot of Top dogman that use the Purina Proplan performance feed and although they have mixed feelings about the ingredients the results speak for themselves.

In my last litter I was feeding my pups that expensive feed from Diamond called chicken soup lovers something LOL....my puppies were not gaining any weight and there coats looked dull then one night I ran out of the chicken soup feed and the feed shop I buy it at was closed for 5 days for renovations so I figured I just buy them some cheap feed at walmart to last them the 5 days so I bought the 20lbs bag purina puppy chow as I knew that was the best brand they had at walmart......and in only 5 days they put on alot of weight and there coats looked shiny and healthier then they did when they was on that chicken soup brand. I would talk about the Proplan Performance feed I used in a keep but that aint allowed on this site LOL but lets just say IMO it worked better then alot of the other kibble that had nicer looking ingredients in em LOL.

Dont get me wrong I still feel good ingredients is important but you cant always go by what a label tells you somtimes you gotta go by the results.

Raw is the best route to take, especially if your not feeding a lot of dogs. As well it's cheaper, and there's less waste. After seeing the difference in my dogs i would never feed them from another bag.

you start lifting weight 5 days a week and just eat primarily corn, let us all know how you do...

    Ingredients
Whole grain corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal,
( maybe you dont get that the ingredient list goes by weight, you might as well go buy yourself a bag of corn at the feed store)

    enough said

If the kibble bag says,WHOLE ckicken,I give em REAL whole chicken. If the EXPENSIVE kibble bag says VEGGIES I add some cooked mashed spinach,if the bag says,WHOLE EGGS,I add a REAL egg,if the bag says,VITAMINS,I add half a pill of human grade multi vitamin every 4 days,if the bag says calcium ,minerals etc.I have my dogs feasting on meaty bones for desert. Its called BARF nowadays I believe.I'm SURE that what they(the outregious expensive kibble boys)) advertise is in my dogs food because I put it in there myself. For half or less price fresh and healthy and SECURE food. What's the effort in packing your freezer?

Feeding your dog any thing from a grocery store is like feeding your kid mcdonalds or burger king every day, every meal ( actually worse, MD & BK at least use some sorce of meat product ) IMO, Dollar for dollar you can't go wrong with RAW/BARF or TOTW.... I don't do RAW/BARF, I just don't have the freezer space or the time to prepare it (If you have the time and space more power to you, but from what I read, this is the least expensive way to feed) but I do feed TOTW and pay $45.00 for a 40lb bag that will last 1 - 40lb dog and 1 - 23lb. Pup a whole month thats only $20.00 per dog, per month. My 40lb Bitch gets 1 1/2 cup a day and is a lil heffer (I could easily trim 3lbs off her) and the 23lb pup gets 1 cup 3 times a day but stays looking pit ready, probally due to his genetic make up and his hyper high strung nature.......Just food for thought...lol;)
