Paper hangers vs title hangers!?!?!?

    Which do y'all think is worse, a paper hanger or a title hanger?
    Keep it civil people... But if anyone gets called out, don't fucking cur out!!!

    I wouldn't deal with either but for the sake of argument I'd say the title hanger is worse assuming the paper hanger is putting out "good" bulldogs..........jmo

    Definately the title hanger. I would take a game dog with an unknown pedigree or a completely fake ped before i take a cur or untouched dog that is claimed to be a winner or champ.

    I agree with everyone so far. Their both in the same p.o.s category to me. I'm not sure why but the title hanger just seems worse.

    Like most I wouldn't wanna deal with either, but title hanger is difinitely worse. It takes a lot of blood sweat and tears (moola and meds) to make title. Anyone who hangs a title are disrespecting and disregarding the many hours of those who ligitemately, through hrs & hrs of hardwork, earned such a title.

    id take both.......

    Seems yall get your dogs from honest folks. I find it hard to trust that easy. Seen many so-called good dogs fold. Only buy a grown dog that will show you his work.

    Peds are no guarantee of the shit eaters skills and titles should be verified personally.

    Even after all this leg work....... SEE him work on the yard.

    But most dogs wont work out..... best to be realistic from the get go.

    i agree with most of the posts but if one sets the bar at a high level either case can be resolved....the part that gets worse than the two mentioned categories is when said dog is bred based on that information provided by the hanger or the false titler...be surprised when one makes it...but never be surprised when they do not....

    I said title because I never met a dog that knew how to read.
    So papers don't mean nothing. If it is a mutt it will be a mutt with shined up papers.
    But to be mislead so you purchase that mutt makes like that bloodline has done more then it truly has, that is worst because you will still end up with a mutt.
    There was a story that C2K wrote about on the old ROM Forum about getting a female dog from a pound and her working out, well that proves the point,
    "good dogs are where you find them."

    best bitch i ever saw was Ch. Angel...told this story before...she was a classified ad pet owned by a 60 year old woman...lady would not chain her and there was not a pen she could not escape from...she would come up the road to a buddy of mines yard and try to get to the dogs he had chained out (fenced in)..he tool her home three or four times...lady finally asks him to take her with a 10X10, an igloo house, and nearly 100lbs of food...he chained her out and gave her a chance...she went 3 for 3 with three RIP's...pushed two pounds the last time out...name a bloodline and it was on her paperwork...and turns out her paperwork is false...she could be anything...but she is a bulldog first and foremost...and she was a give away dog...fi the lady had not thrown in the extras she would have ended up in the pound...

    I don't care for either, but the title hanger seems like it would be alot worse to me. Glad I only deal with a couple honest folks, rather than people that put more thought into lookin big, real, and cool than what their dogs are. Title hangers, in my mind, are punk ass clowns that are on the same level as a dog theif.

    paper hanging has been around just as long as the breed has been around. F. Boudreaux, M. Carver are just two of the top breeders that are known for paper hanging. I have even herd that J.P. Colby did it. The best thing you can do is get you a dog from some one you trust that will lessen the chances of it happening but you will never know 100%
