I wouldn't really say it was because of the breeding because a first cross is the first generation of a bull/greyhound breeding.

I think intelligence has a lot to do with it as the capable ones know how to hit the spot.

How would a bull/grey do on a big wild boar hog? I saw some bull terrier/grey hound crosses in Australia that looked okay on hogs they could move that's for sure but not as good as a big apbt or even American Bulldog for that matter as a catch dog.

  3. There not as good on boars your right.there body’s are to tall and two long and I no of a few that have been killed out right on the spot of boars mate.
That’s just my op mate,I’m not knocking the cross at all.and I suppose any dog used as a catch dog is risking its life it’s life for us.

As The Cockney said there a good all rounder, don’t why the fuck I’m in dream land?LOL.(belive me man ain’t in dreamland bro, just talking dogs man)
But yeah there a nice cross.

A very nice cross, ide prefer for deers and boars box a bulldog and a greyhound working in conjunction together oppose to a cross of the two.but I suppose crossing the two makes sense to avoid fights.

The dogs in oz you seen will probs be a blend Bull greyhound and some sort of pointer.
It’s a common breed over there that they called bull Arabs.
I don’t no nothing on the breed I’ve seen a few vids on them and they seem noisy to me.they catch but let a yap out before they hit the pig.
Not a feature ide look for in a dog to be honest.

    All the best mate.

In Australia they use Bull Arabs but they are usually of Bull Terrier blood and not APBT.

I have never seen a APBT/Greyhound on hogs in the States, I should imagine the half crosses and 5/8 x 3/8 crosses would make handy animals.

Speaking of badger dogs, I read an article on Bolio, one of the best box dogs ever.

He was brought on by various vermin as he was developing, they used to put him on American Badger as well from what I believe.

  5. Never heard that bout boilo but my ears pricked up for sure

Good things to start them up on,or learn them,or whatever way you want to call it.
Thing is bollio was a head dog.so working him on them ain’t helped.
I’ve heard what your saying can learn the dog to kill, but I suppose it depends on the dog it’s self?
I never new what Bull was in them Bull arabs.
Vids I’ve seen they let a yap out before they catch, not a good feature for us over here!
    LOL.
The three eights five eights you said are cor, awesome man.
Very strong I’ve heard a story about two of them holding a big Red.
Not sure if it’s true story, but reds are massive things man.

    All the best.
