2 studs, one litter?

Can 2 studs breed to a bitch in the same heat and have a litter with pups from both studs? My dad told me this but i find it hard to believe. Maybe i will learn something.

So if a bitch is breed and becomes pregnant and is breed again during her heat she can conceive more pups then she had w/ just the single breeding?

I have never tried it, but have heard that is is very possible. They aren't like people!

 

It happens persistantly with wild and stray dogs. Even in cats. A dog will release many eggs during her heat. So it can and will have those eggs fertilized at different times. Even if bred by multiple dogs. I would not suggest it though. How would you ever figure out the pedigree?

 

Yep even a human woman can do it...it is rare and she needs to be a real slut but in NC I knew a chick who had a white and black fraternal twin...think about that one...

I wonder if alot of pedigrees are unknowingly wrong because of different males breeding to a bitch.

I guess if a coyote got to a bitch in heat that had already conceived a litter you could have some hybreeds and some pure breeds? That could be a strange suprise

 

The only way to truely tell who the sire of each puppy is to do DNA testing. Some people still practice this but not as many as before. Get kind of expensive doing all the DNA testin to establish which one is the sire.

 

The dual sire litters are more common now than ever...ADBA runs a DNA program that lets you know which sire to which pup and lets you register accordingly...I agree its expensive but it still goes on...As for the humans yaeh there was a girl in our small town that had twins from different dads...And yes she was a slut...lmao
