Do you leash train?

Some of us want a complete bulldog. Well I strive for that and more. Not saying I get it just saying I strive for a complete bulldog that can also be seen in a positive light when I need it to be and not just a complete bulldog that only box eyeballs will see. Needs to know his name and understand a leash. Just my standards.

Well now its obvious why we have a discrepancy,i use a bulldog for a bulldog and you use yours for a gemransheppard/collie/saint bernard.I don't walk my dogs on the edge of a cliff, but if i did i would think they'd have the sense to pull me away from the edge.

What makes your two cents any more valuable than mine. The topics "do you leash train" i own dogs and i don't leash train so i would think that applies to me.If your such a dog master why don't you teach them not to fight, then you wouldn't have kennel accidents.Still don't know why you imply i use spiked collars, your the one running around teaching your dogs to bite people.

Teaching my dogs to bite people ??????? What kind of a fool are you? Listen I can almost guarantee my callcard standards are stricter than yours or just about anybodys. I don't play that shit why would I teach it you moron? Your a fool. I understand exactly where you are coming from so do not think that I don't. I also always felt the need to pat each dog on head when feed and water. Do you just throw food in bowl and kick towards him and move onto next? I'm not saying your wrong that's just what my standards were about. Most of our dogs weren't great on leash but they were a work in progress even if we could only get to minimaly

James why shouldn´t I take my dogs with me during a mountain tour or do you think a bulldog can´t handle this?????
Mine do how about yours or does pulling doesn´t provide them with enough power and endurance as my dogs have???????
See I believe you don´t do shit whit your dogs and only talking tall!
All my dogs have a proven working history and maybe your smarts only enough to teach dumb as retrievers instead of dogs that have a stronger mental setup?

Might you quit in that game of brains against you bulldog???????

NO here's how i do....i go out there and step in a fresh pile of shit, then i throw there food on the ground (preferably in a puddle of fresh piss or mud if its been raining, then i take the my shoe with the shit all over it ,and stomp there food into the ground. This method gives them a faster mouth cause they gotta pick each peice of food out of the ground individually. All the while i am kicking them in the stifle. That's how i feed,oh and if they are a good one they get extra spikes in there collar.

You better just be sure to keep that well trained mutt of yours on a leash should you ever near my area.Or one of my retrivers may make short work of your man biter.

P.S i never said you shouldn't take you dogs to the mountains,i think you guys should try to climber everest together.

Tell me where you live and I´ll sure as hell avoid passing your area!!!!!!!!!

Nope I won´t avoid as we don´t shy away from Retrievers, but now as we know that your bulldogs are retrievers, why the hell do you let them pull and not swimm and retrieve?????

Don't mind him. It is obvious that His mental aptitude is that of a young fool not yet traveled. instead of stating his opinion like a man he chose to act like an imbecile. Ya know I wish I could say that's rare with us but doesn't mean a thing. He could be a 100% dogman just stuck in his ways and happy with his blinders on that he doesn't realize, need to know, or care that his blinders are on.

Hiking in woods... I used to always take a dog with me. Let him off leash. I wud carve trees while he would chase this then chase that then come back around etc. Then one day this hunter came down out of his tree stand right by us. That was the last time. Anyway

What are your thoughts on leash training? Obviously for pet dogs yes but how bout the yard dogs??

  16. doginhold

    doginhold Top Dog

See I´ll think yard dogs to as it´s also a matter of secure handling for example if you have to bring him from one point to another and maybe aren´t physically right that day or even if you have to handle a dog like I had a year back that had a bad ligament rupture that you slowly started walking back in shape.

Imagine what it would´ve been like if he would pull like crazy.

So training your dogs never is a fault.

i do cause come show time i do alot of road work and weight pulling so they need to know how to act outside the yard plus you dont want pple seeing that shit your hound out of control gives them more reason to be afraid and quicker to pick up the phone

Ive tried to discuss with you with guys, but there's no common ground between us so i resulted to acting a fool. And why i may be young, and possibly have been a fool at one point or another, i am still old and wise enough not to let two guys on a computer sway me from what i know to be right.Im far from 100% percent dog man but am flattered that bbt would even consider me that(thank you bbt) and that i have walked enough dogs to form my own opinion.Sorry to troll up your guyses thread im gonna go home now.
