It`s good to read someone`s posts who know`s a bit about conditioning, I appreciate your input. The biggest mistake that most people make is thinking that dogs and humans are totally different, people need to learn the principles of strength and conditioning and then look at how they apply to what you expect the dog to do. It`s then easy to work out what energy system is needed and whether the breed of dog that you have and it`s predominant fibre type is suited to the task.

If it works for u than great! I Know what work for me. I know how to train my self, most people that give advice are fat pieces of lard or have never lifted a finger. They know nothing about true conditioning. Keep up the good work OLD GOAT!

I know keeping it simple doesn't mean don't work your dog. I actually am agreeing with you for the most part. You can reach peak condition from simply running, tugging, ect but another person could reach a higher peak with the same dog if he does a more complicated keep and feed. I have definitely fucked alot of keeps up back when I started out. When I joined Wardog Kennels. I was considered the handler and my partner was the conditioner. At the time I was just to young and dumb to listen to him because I was peaking with my own conditioning and thought I knew everything about excercise yet I failed again and again with the dogs. So that job got taken away from me, lol! I understand it alot more now then I use to and now understand alot of the reasonings my partner and mentor did what he did. I am still always trying to improve things and always consider myself a student of the game.

Also that food recipe that was posted, doesn't look very simple to me. I think that recipe would be hard to figure out on your own. That's why I was saying working the dog is easier cause their are only a handfull of things you can get a dog to do. There are alot of things you can put in their food, too many to list.

nogmalugunda is known as one of the better conditioners of his time, thought I'd add that and lol someone thinking because a person is fat they dont know anything about conditioning dogs, means a bunch of nothing. Actually go to a dog show and see that the majority of people in dogs dont look like Vitor Belfort, lmao

I was 17 years old when Dogman 2000 was delivered to my house. It feels like it was yesterday. All this time later, i'm still grateful for those 3 tapes. These days I use Blue Buffalo wilderness kibble, chicken, duck or salmon (grain free). Shit is expensive but I have a good connect. I follow that kibble with the above program. Thanks Gundu.

To say your the best at shaping a dog is funny to say the least. In the 80's I started with a good kibble, dog bloom, gizzards and spinach until I learned about proper supplementation and how to work them into a schedule. With so many factors to consider you cant properly condition a dog in a week and a half, its a gradual process.

Here's a good ingredient no one has mentioned yet, apple cider vinegar. It will help stop the kidneys from shutting down.

  20. for humans whey proteine works great before and after work out they go in the system very fast, things like beef and chicken takes longer to digest so it take more time to get it in the system at night when we recover from hard workout our body need proteine to recover so then slow proteines from beef and chicken are great so it will work the same for dogs.

Apple vinigar works in humans to lower the fat have tried it before on my dog and it worked also celery stalk works good to lower the water so when a dogs drops water he looks more ripped.
I cook the celery for one hour and then i put it in a blender and that i give the dog with some water 3 times a day the last 3-4 days before a show and then he/she is pissing like grazy;-)
