the springviews duke dog was a straight cross of mayfield and limey blood. . i still say the limey blood was a success without the mayfield blood but the same can not be said of the mayfield blood without some cross. for me dogs like nikki and duke were succesful despite the mayfield blood not because of it. i have photos of duke, very nice looking red dog but i can see no marks on him , he must have been a dog that took no punishment, whether he was game i would not know but his supposed ability sounds much more akin to the nelis/spike/tug dogs than the gar dogs imho. .
