  1. Hey everyone, I often hear owners dispute about which dog food is better brand and healthy quality for their pit-bulls. Pedigree or Eukanuba....
    Any info is much appreciated.

A raw diet is best overall...but 90% the more expensive kibble is usually the better kibble! Stay away from kibble that contains animal by-products/by-products, corn, wheat and soy, articial ingredients.

Neither food is any good. Raw diet is best.

  11. Raw as in what? I honestly don't know so I'm asking for some insight on raw foods.

This is a very good site!

Feed a variety of muscle meat with bone and organ meat. Some people choose to add greens also for added nutrition. Greens (veggie matter) must be slightly cooked to for a dog to able to digest them as the cannot breakdown the "cellulose" of raw vegetables. Steaming is the best for this but have heard using a food processor does the same job (not 100% sure about this)

This is another good site that helped me alot! http://www.bconnex.net/~langevin/html/raw_meat_diet.html

I feed Innova and occasionally RAW or Nature's Variety Instinct.

The best food is what works best for your dog IMO that has the healthiest ingredients. Not all dogs do well on a given food.

Kibble: I like Blue Buffalo, Black Gold, Diamond
but Im using RAW and it has been the best option....cheaper better and once you get the hang of it just as quick....

I use Blue Buffalo. The initial cost is more than the low quality brands, but with better quality food you feed less. Thats because the low quality food is full of fillers and the high quality food has more animal proteins. My 60-pound boy only eats 2 cups a day. I pay about $40 for a 30-pound bag.
