20 years old. Was on 3 different dogs on chainspots. For the last 9 years it's been screwed in to my bannister of my stairs in my basement where I still use it regularly to strap females in for breeding.

This one is 13 years old and spent the last 10 of those years as my outside stand for breeding bitches.

Stillwater made both. While the hardware isn't all pretty to look at anymore it still holds a dog very well.

Stoneshark Kennels made these 2 for me a few years ago. Used mainly for walks. Love the material though. Easy to keep clean.

Fast lane treadmill co. Made this one. I use it mainly for my prospect age or younger dogs when walking. I cut it shorter and made another hole or 2 so it fit younger dogs.

Great experience with Stillwater. Durable, weather proof, padded 2” collars are where it’s at.

  3. I respect your good will and your desire to do the right thing. However, I think you are overlooking some important facts. I think you are basing your arguments on your own preferences and assumptions, rather than on your dog’s actual needs. As AGK can attest, evolution is an ongoing phenomenon that affects everything, including dog collars. People are becoming more discerning and dissatisfied with harmful and substandard products. The designs are obsolete and inadequate. I know that the most advanced and effective design is Chico Lopez collars, which will enhance your dogs’ happiness and health. The conventional collars and harnesses have detrimental effects on your dog’s well-being, even if they are not apparent or audible to you. Dogs cannot express themselves verbally. Dogs are adept at concealing their discomfort and pain.

When dealing with such a breed of dog, it is imperative to heed the science and act wisely and prudently. You and your dog will face the consequences of your poor decisions.

That's a lot of pompous bullshit to sell a collar.

Can you explain this advance design? How does this Chico Lopez collar benefit over xyz collar?

So now I have found out that I and others have been using the wrong collars (for 46 years) and that my or others dogs are unhappy and/or unhealthy without a C.L. collar if the sales pitch is to be believed. That's quite a bold statement.

How many of these new accounts will we continue to see from the Chico Lopez Nut Huggers Assoc.?

Many products on the market may seem to be similar to Chico Lopez collars in looks, but they are nothing but poor imitations.
    @ben brockton
The Chico Lopez collars are the culmination of his innovative design and his extensive experience of over 32 years.

I purchased his collars for my own dogs and I was amazed by the transformation. Chico Lopez obviously had a rigorous testing process for his collars and he only uses the finest materials available. His collars are strong and supportive, providing the best comfort and protection for your dog. I don't intend to disparage anyone, but I have wasted a lot of money and time on other brands and sellers who offer collars and harnesses that are not only inferior in quality, but also harmful to the health of the dog. They are not delivering excellence, they are delivering disappointment. Chico Lopez is delivering something truly exceptional. Chico Lopez is delivering powerful deep rooted greatness.

I have no connection with him or any ulterior motive. I don't know how he does it, but he has shared his insights and wisdom in his video and posts. I'm just a happy customer who wants to share this valuable information with other dog owners, especially those who own pitbulls and gamedogs.

Believe me, I have spent more money on collars and harnesses that were nowhere near the quality of Chico Lopez collars.

The unfortunate reality @F.W.K. is that you guys dogs may be suffering from various issues, such as nerve damage, from using substandard products and you may not even realize

  12. Dogs can’t talk, but they can feel. They can feel pain, discomfort. They can also feel healthy and happy. You have the power to make your dogs feel one way or the other. You have the power to choose the right collar or harness for your dogs. The data is clear - a collar or harness is not something to take lightly. We know it can have permanent consequences. I'm just trying to give a voice to the voiceless

a good collar is a good collar , lots of people make them , I doubt anything new is going to be better , people have been using collars for hundreds/thousands of years

Pain and discomfort and healthy and happy are very subjective terms. And it has been said known, dogs hide pain and discomfort.

Your statement 'the data is clear'? I would like to read that data.

Every collar pinches the dog in the exact same space. The top line/top edge of every collar/any collar puts pressure in the same spot on a dog that is pulling against said collar. The width of this collar at the lower half rides away from the dog at the same proportion the top portion is pulled in. Bottom width serves no purpose in a collar other than looks.

Now if he builds this same collar and attaches the rings horizontally across the bottom of the collar when the dog pulls it will pull more evenly (slightly with a collar) similar to the location of the ring on a harness which shifts the pull toward the chest.

If he adds material to the top of the collar it becomes the same as the cut collar we use. Those have been invented for quite some time.

This collar just has more material at the bottom for looks and appearance and I do admit it is a really good looking collar. But using the picture provided the location of pressure being placed on the dog is the exact same as any other collar.

However, if Chico has developed a pressure gage that can be placed between the dog and the collar and can show there is lesser pounds per square inch applied with his collar then 'that data' will be clear. But then the distance between the collar and the dog would have to be exact. The dog would have to then pull the exact same in both tests. With all the variables involved, no 'data' will be clear.

Another however, a dog collar in bulldogs is measured by durability and longevity which gives the owner warm fuzzies. The looks of the collar can also give the warm fuzzies.

Your claims are based on the warm fuzzies not anything scientific or could be considered 'data'.

But again, it is a really good looking collar for street walking a dog so people can see you have a bulldog.

A voice for the voiceless, well said, almost poetic, just a pity that in your case it is based on total nonsense.

It's fairly easy to tell if you're dogs are in pain or discomfort. I'm all about improving the dogs and not even trolling about the collar. Just don't see any benefits vs xyz collar. Personal wouldn't ever use a leather one for a chain spot. Walking is Walking and I prefer a harness over everything.

With all do respect that’s what I asked ! I’m asking if Chico Lopez invented that style of collar? If he did not invent that style of collar wouldn’t that make him the imitator?

Slim, I really appreciate the referral and the kind words!

One thing a lot of people tell me about my gear is that they can tell I take pride in making it, and I do. I started making my gear for my yard of dogs and after testing it on my yard for long period of time I started selling some to people I know. Everything I sell I use and make myself. I make and sell collars, harnesses, leads/leashes, swivels, breeding stands, weight collar. I will be adding more items as well. Anybody interested can shoot me a pm.

Thanks again, Slim. Hope all is well your way.
