I've got a picture of 2 APBTs catching a bull on some guy's farm and it's an old picture -

Wondering if anyone still does catch cattle/bulls with APBTs?

Maybe but Australian Shepards are good dogs for cattle. I am around a few and like the ones I see a lot.

Very intelligent dogs. Knew one who would fetch drinks from the fridge. No kidding

We used to use those Texas Heele on the farm to deal with the cattle and the Bulls. They are fine cattle dogs.

I have seen one pit bulldog used to catch cows. The rest of the dogs I have been around have far too much animal aggression to do 'real work'.

But with that said, there was some sheep herder a hundred or so years ago that said, "You want to use these herder dogs to fight a man?, Good luck with that"

    The rest is history.

Ain't no way in hell I'd put one on a bull. In theory I'd take your money if you was 1oz over weight lol

Very true. When you say name a weight and a date, we say weight first for a reason. LOL

I heard stories about the dog catching a bull and when I had an opportunity to check it out, I did.

The bull was new to the property and simply ill mannered. The bull dog latched onto his nose and the bull spun him like a ride at the fair.

The other bulls there who had been caught before eased on down the fence line. He had their respect.

He was an old Snooty-Molly Bee-Big Boy bred male from James Edwards.

Bulldogs are a pain around cattle period! They will lock on first one they can get before you can blink a eye .
