No both bulldogs have shone nothing but hybrid vigor both are very athletic and pound for pound strong for being tightly bred. The bitch has not come into heat yet but that is normal this spring the other bitches will bring her in. The male looks like his grandfather the way I like it, and she like her mother but with that throw back color of Ch Honeybunch that color is coming I think from pretty far back in her pedigree if not maybe you could tell me were it is in what generation, so far they are doing what is asked of them.

Good to hear. That color could be coming from Wests Pepper Jack. She was brindle and white. That gene could be mutated and turned recessive and when it meets dominate black, lilac, or fawn gets expressed.

    Or.....

M.I.A was black, but her bellymate brother that Carolina gamedogs had was a black and tan. Black and tan has always stayed recessive in my dogs and I've never produced the black and tan color. I'd imagine if I bred into another line that had the recessive black and tan it would flip it and a pup would be that color with the gene being dominate.

This is all just theory. I do read up on color genetics from time to time but I'm not that smart with it. It's a lot to understand and digest. Just when you think you understand it a little, mother nature throws a curve ball. Lol. This chart might help but IMO it's coming from pepper jack. Brindle can throw a wide rage of colors when paired to other locus genes. I have never produced a brindle dog either so my understanding is that it's recessive in my dogs and when it meets another one with that gene turned recessive then you'll get other colors that may not typically express themselves normally.

Good looking dogs. I like those type of dogs. I mean those stronger looking dogs with a bulky type body and head. Instead of the athletic types with the small head and long noses. They look strong AGK.

I got to look into those deer ribs, here they are not easy to get by. But i have seen and read it pretty often the last weeks.

This happened to me back in July.
My Whitley/Buck male just stopped eating on the 1st, on the 3rd I found him dead under his shade board.
He wasn’t a chewer and I don’t have any close neighbors so I’m not sure what happened.
    Always something with these dogs.
    Sorry for your loss AGK!

Lol ( He is bred out the ass) Don’t let ole TDK hear you say that.
About a month ago he was snapping off about people saying this.
Bred out the ass and people calling them hounds seems to really get under his skin.

    Thanks.
Lol bro those ribs are gone in less than 5 minutes. They break them down very easily. Don't last long at all.

I have both phenotypes here. My bitches are usually more thick, built like tanks. The boys typically are my rangy type builds. Honestly, I noticed, not always but more often than not, the one with the more narrow heads and longer muzzles close there traps a lot harder. Could just be coincidence but most of the ones I've seen with that head style here have real vices.

I have put in a little over 140 hours since the Saturday before Thanksgiving. 11 shifts that push 13 hours each. So I missed this.

I hate the guy lost his dog. Neither outcome is good if it is genetics or the neighbor.

I have not seen anything out of the ordinary with mine. He sort of has a light switch where he can be a ball of energy with a non-stop motor one minute then the next he is like, "Fuck it, I will lay here and sleep regardless of what is going on around me". Things that yank him one day do not seem to excite him the next then the next they do.

I attribute most of that to the fact he is living the life of a king with my son and his girlfriend next door. I have explained over and over what he is but like all young people (LOL) "I got it" when they don't have it.

The other dog stood at the deck and barked at a 'possum a few weeks ago. he came off the porch, touched the first step down (seven steps) and went air born. It was a missle attack and the possum was no more. Then the other dog came and they shredded it and for the first time he went in to the 'this is mine and you better back up mode' and fortunately for them and their other dog, he did.

Maybe the only weird thing is his muscle and bone weighs a ton. He weighed 48lbs the other day at the vet and I don't know where he is hiding at least 8 of those.

Sorry for the loss. I will try to do a better job keeping you posted. I don't lie about much (LOL) but I did say I would keep you somewhat up to date and I have not.

Hey AGK..your theory on the one pup litter. I just had a second litter of 2 (first was 4). Mom seemed to have smooth, even quick delivery both times, pups look awesome and uniform. but the small litter…
re the sick/dead pup…parvo? did the buyer at least claim he vaccinated on schedule?

Your good bro, I don't even worry about that boy. I know he's in good hands. I really don't think it's genetics at all but things are bound to pop up from time to time when inbreeding so I hope he get me the necropsy. If not for me then at least for himself. I'd want to know why if it was one of my dogs which it kind of is. He's still sore over it so I'm sure I'll hear from him when it's not so fresh.

Your boys sister raina here is a psychopath. Got her in the house now for a while. She is the only one here that don't gain weight. She looks like she is ready to show but i feed her 1 cup and a softboiled egg more than the rest of my dogs and she's the lightest dog here. I'd say no more than 30 to 32 lbs tops. The rest are all fat asses tonight now. I look at Pumpkin and Jackie and shake my head like how am I going to strip all this weight off them in the spring. They really porky right now. Raina paces and jumps in her kennels all day and night so I think she just burns alot more than my others. She's a lot younger to which can play a small part too.

She should have been good even if he didn't vaccinate her. I did all 3 of her pup shots myself personally so she'd be good still. Parvo is pretty distinctive in it's symptoms.
    The smell alone is unforgettable.

Parvo is at least 24 hours. Not healthy today and dead tomorrow. And plus once you have smelled the shitty/bloody/diarrhea piles it is pretty much unforgettable.

Hopefully he gets you the information. It may or may not be a part of the reasoning. No good answer either way but at least it will eliminate one of the two thoughts.

Best of luck in a pretty much shitty situation.
