I am posting a link to the complete Jan/ Dec 1970 PIT DOG REPORT. This is the first year that Don Mayfield put this magazine out. Some real good reading and history in these pages, 46 year old pit reports with pictures. Interesting ads for matches, There are also quite a few vintage pictures of many of the greats. Enjoy!

Just saw this! I was to ride with A couple friends to the match Frank Fitzwater made his iterance. Then the oilfield service company I worked for called about 24hrs. before I was to leave..........sure wish I hadn't answered that call!!!!!! Had to catch A chopper out of Houma
LA. in 12 hrs. to land A well head offshore so I missed it!!!! One report Maloneys Snow is reg. as Carvers Snow, bred to the right gyps REALLY put some HARD scratch in A line! Grandsire to one of my foundation gyps! Snows offspring were so hot so young I feel most were used to young! Mine came through Snow X Lucynester ( Corns Kojack) also A total white dog, just bat shit crazy, chain and feed pan fighter, had to be kept under A tree so he would jump grab A limb and hang there and whine, cutters were totally gone but SUPPER hard scratcher and ruff as hell! In fact the litter mine came from they had all be separated at under six weeks! I asked Doug Nirider why he sold Eli, he said he had A bad leg but realized latter he'd made A mistake! Don't mind me just tripping down memory lane!! LOL Where I'm at now I can drive A few miles and read, but cant post just barely get A signal........got my old gyp taken care of to carry on the line even though there just house pets I still like to keep A dog! Hope everybody has A most excellent summer!
